Tressex walked up to the office door and took a deep breath. He straightened his uniform and then crossed his hands behind his back and waited.

A few moments later he realized he hadn’t pressed the chime and quickly did so.

Najma heard the chime and sighed. Then she said “Come in. The door is open!”

N. Moreino-CSO

Tressex came through the door, the young Antican was slightly nervous. “Um, excuse me for bothering you. I just wanted to introduce myself. I… I’m Bradar Tressex. Ensign, In the Science Department.”

Najma glared at him at first, then she presented him with a slight smile. She immediately recognized he was Antican and she was familiar with the species. She knew they were capable of having an unpredictable temperament which is why she was particularly fond of the species. She turned toward him and crossed her arms. He demeanor was relaxed, unofficial. “I was not expecting you but I do not consider it a bother, especially when you are following protocol and checking in like you are suppose to do.” She motioned him to a chair with her arm as she continued to speak. “I guess you already know I am Najma Moreino. When we are one to one like we are now, you can call me Najma, when we are in the presence of others you can call me Lieutenant Moreino. And never refer to me as sir and never ever ma’am.”

Tressex took the seat as indicated and said “Of course, Lieutenant. I mean… Najma. Sorry. I am a bit nervous. My apologies.” as he spoke, his species predatory nature showed itself slightly as his unconsciously scanned the room and sniffed the air slightly, but that may have also been indicative of his nervousness.

“There is nothing to be nervous about.” She lied as she took a seat. She picked up a PaDD and tapped on it as she said, “Your profile does not clearly define your experience or capabilities, there for I am going to need you to tell me in the briefest way possible what you can do. This is a medical ship so science experience that ties into the medical field is highly valuable. There are some exceptions…of course but those are determined on a case by case basis.”

N. Moreino- CSO

“Well, my expertise lies in energy manipulation and radiation. This is only my second duty assignment, but I am hoping that my training will be of use; perhaps not in the medical operations side of things, but maybe in the ship operations? I am very capable at interpreting scan data, as well as designing experimental models. And I am hoping that I will be able to expand my scientific exposure into some of the more biologically-based fields during my tenure on board.”

Soundly the comms sounded and very precise, Vulcan voice could be heard coming over the comms.
=^=T’Pris to Lt. Moreino. Ensign Pierce and I have discovered a gastropod type lifeform and a nest of its young among the relays. It is my wish that we remove them safely from this environs and relocate them to the labs. =^=

Tressex looked at the CSO. “Ma… er, Najma… I can assist in that, if you’d like. I can set up a containment area and have the Transporter room beam them directly here. That will also allow us to get transporter buffer log in place. If they escape, it would be much easier to track them with that.”
