“I see. We’re playing coy today. Okay then,” the man said with a wink, taking a step back. He turned and walked away from her, walking right through her office door.

Anastasia’s already pale features turned ghost white as the man went through her office door. She threw the lollipop container onto her desk, the lollipops again scattering at random all over, as she ran to the office door. As it slid open, she immediately went through, seeing if she could see where the man… the apparition… had gone.

He had moved down the corridor and rounded a corner, disappearing from view.

While it felt like an eternity, the internal debate whether she should continue to follow the man raged in Ana for only a few milliseconds. She wasn’t trained to go follow intruders around the ship, but she was beginning to think that security might find her tale to be one of mental illness and not of reality. Oh well, it should be easy enough for security to track him down, she hoped… she returned to her office and surveyed the damage from the sudden jolt that had happened prior to her visitor’s arrival.

As she awaited a response, she began to tidy up the fallen lollipops. Thankfully, she hadn’t had much of a chance to bring in any personal effects.
