Harry frantically sprinted into the main science lab with 42 seconds to spare before his first shift. He stood doubled over with his hands on his knees for a few seconds while he caught his breath. Still panting he went up to the nearest officer and cleared his throat.

“Hey ho, hum, Harry…Harry is my name…CSO…I mean I’m not the CSO…I want to be one day…I mean…I’m Harry…I said that already…let me start over…” he took a deep breath and tried again.

“Hello, I’m Ensign Harry Goodwin, I’m looking for the CSO?” He asked hopefully. ’Did I brush my hair..?’ he pondered whilst he waited for a response.

Ensign Goodwin (Sci)

The Ensign smiled at him and said “Ensign Marks. Nice to meet you, Harry. And the Chief is in his office.” and he pointed towards the CSO’s door. “Lieutenant Tressex is his name. Antican, just so you are aware.”

NE Marks, Science

Harry gulped as he looked towards the CSO’s office, he’d never met an Antican before and knowing his luck he was bound to say something stupid. “Um, yes, thank you Ensign Marks, uh, pleased to meet you too…” he said quietly, already feeling his cheeks turning pink. He cleared his throat and nervously approached the office. ‘Come on H, be confident…’ he thought as he entered the office and stood to attention.

“Ensign um…” he stopped for a moment as he drew a mental blank on his own name. “…Harry…I mean Ensign Goodwin, reporting for duty sir…” he announced, staring wide eyed at the CSO. He gulped again as he realised he probably should have pressed the chime first. Sheepishly he looked down at his feet and promptly noticed his flies undone. Letting out a little gasp he hurriedly zipped himself up and forced a smile.
