Shortly after her visit with the captain she had decided to take in the suggestion of the captain. She walked over to the turbolift. “Sickbay.” She ordered the computer. The turbolift had closed its doors and then took off. Moments later, the turbolift had taken a halt. She later than stepped off the turbolift and walked into Sickbay. “Hello. Is Mr. Walker here? I’m here to finish all my check ins.” She said.

“Dr. Walker is in his office,” an NE nurse replied, pointing N’Arir over to the administrative suite.

“Thank you.” She replied back. She then walks into the outer office of Dr. Walker. She knocks and awaits to come in.

She entered the office. “Hello Commander, how’s your evening doing?” She asked.

“Busy, what with half my staff turning over,” Brad replied, only then looking up at the unfamiliar voice. “I suppose you’re one of the new arrivals?”

She looked at him. “Yes, Commander. I’m your new Head Nurse. Command gave me my orders once they heard that the Ogawa needed someone to fill in the spot. I was already promoted as Lieutenant from command as well. Served there from Ensign to Lieutenant.” She replied with a logical response.

“Right,” Brad said, rifling through the stack of PADDs on his desk before finding the one he was looking for.

“Lieutenant… N’Arir,” he said with a chuckle. “Did your mother owe someone money?”

“Sir? I’m a Romulan. I find it illogical that my mother owes someone money. Otherwise she would.” She replied.

“Cultural differences, never mind,” Brad said. “Welcome aboard, lieutenant. I do hope you plan on sticking around. Your position has been a bit of a revolving door as of late, I’m hoping you’ll bring some stability to the nursing corps.”

“Of course, Commander. I’m not planning on going anywhere. I am hoping ot help bring stability to the nursing corps. The team and nursing corps have needed extra help.” She replied. “By chance, do we know the predecessor that I have taken over? What all have they done? Sorry for all the questions.”

“Nothing major in terms of initiatives,” Brad said, “at least in terms of things I ever heard. Most of the nursing staff is turning over as well, so you’ll have a blank slate to work with.”

“Yes, sir. Might I ask how many are on my Nursing Staff?” She asked.

“120, spread out across three shifts and two medical units,” Brad replied. “90 here in primary medical, 30 in secondary medical. Some are specialized to assist in the surgical ward or ICU, but most are in the general care unit.”

She thought to herself as he said that. 120 nurses. Thst means I got a good team going but I gotta keep busy. She thought to herself. “90 here for primary medical and 30 for secondary medical. “I have,” Brad confirmed. “Some of your specialties, you might be the only nurse we have qualified in those areas.”

“Sir? Are you saying that I will have to sit here and train every nurse in my nursing staff?” She replied. “I appreciate it, sir.” She added with a nod.

“No, that’s not at all what I’m saying,” Brad replied. “I mean, I’m not going to stop you from training a few of them in a few different fields, so that you’re not on the hook for any and every call in some of the more esoteric fields you’re qualified in. I was merely commenting that you’re the only one on board, for instance, certified in zero-g medical operations.”
