A quiet whirr filled the transporter room as a small figure beamed in, along with a couple of small suitcases.

“Ogawa to Ferrite, Lt. Cmdr. Sadie has materialised,” the transporter technician spoke, then looked up with a smile to the newly arrived scientist. “Welcome to the Owie, L.T.”

“Thank you,” Sadie nodded gently, taking a deep breath. “It smells different here.”

“Most ships have unique smells, sir, this one is no different.”

“Too true. Thank you, crewman.”

“Do you need assistance getting to your quarters with your things?”

“No, I think I can manage,” Sadie grabbed her suitcases, both of which were on wheels, and began pulling them after herself, leaving the transporter room behind her. “New ship, new me, right?” She chuckled, once the door had swooshed closed after her. “Who am I kidding? Just need to make sure my prescriptions got transferred over… new doctors, new counselors…” She stopped for a moment and let out a sad little bleat, “whole new crew. Only thing that didn’t change is me.”
