Heya folks,

So, as you may already know, Tom has had to take an eLOA (extended LOA). He’ll be gone a few months, which means we have a few things to sort out.

1) For now, I am the solo GM. I’m used to doing this but it can be tricky when I have other characters involved in the sim and the crew is smaller, as we are right now. I am going to need everyone’s help to keep the sim moving along, but if I am slower at times (and not related to my chronic health issues), it’s likely because I’m pondering something or doing some planning for the next steps. There are things Tom and I hadn’t fully worked out and so I might need to pause here and there to sort things out.

2) Crew vacancies:

CSO: We really need a CSO, so if you know anyone who would be a good fit for our Alt, please let me know.

Med Staff: We are suddenly down to just two med people. That can be fine, but it does put a lot of pressure on Jen and Brandon to carry our med sims. Fortunately, many of the other characters have some sort of medical background and experience, so I am going to rely on the rest of us to fill in the gaps, either with your characters, or NPCs. If you are not in a place where you can take on additional posting, please let me know directly so I can adjust my plans. I will reach out to people I think can help in different parts of the sim and together we’ll make this work.

3) LOAs and AWOLs:

We have a lot of LOAs right now and so I’m not going to press the sim too hard. But for those that are not on LOA, I need you to be posting in limits, or declaring LOAs if you think you’re going to be longer than a week.

As a reminder our posting speed is 5 Days for everyone. The closer we get to that with a small crew, the better momentum we will get overall and the more excitement and enjoyment there can be from our storylines.

That being said, I get RL can be hard and busy sometimes. All I ask is that you keep me in the loop. Don’t assume I’ll have seen a random comment in Discord main chat. If you haven’t spoken to me directly, then I might not be aware of your situation. I have had a bad flare up of migraines recently (tis the season), and so I have been less available. I am still reachable though, so please DM me, or send me emails.

The Ogawa is a great ship and still has the honour of being the the only decommissioned ship brought back into action. I believe in it and I love writing with you all.
