Kane moved in and looked at the pinned crew member. He pulled out his tricorder and scanned the leg. “Multiple fractures and lacerations. But nothing to indicate we can’t get them outta here. C’mon, Dalton… give me a hand.” and he positioned himself to help Dalton clear the debris.

Kane, R&D

“Chief,” she said to Petrakos. “Can you pull her out once we get this piece of equipment lifted? It needs to be fast.” Cori shifted her position on the other side of the hunk of metal and braced her body in a stable position.

Achilleas shuffled over to a position directly in front of Hammond’s head. He stretched his hands out and urged for her to clasp his hands. “Hold my hands and when they get it moved enough that you’re loose I’ll pull you out. You’re going to be okay.”

CSO Petrakos

Hammond was barely conscious but managed a weak, “Okay,” and grabbed his hands, or at least moved her hands where he could at least grip her wrists or forearms.

“On three,” she said to Kane. “One, two… three!” Cori heaved what was essentially a hunk of metal towards her and with Kane’s help, they managed to create some clearance for Petrakos to pull the scientist out. But Cori’s arms were shaking with the effort and it was probably the most intense thing she’d asked of her new body to date.

~Corinne Dalton

Kane heaved along with Cori and said “Go! Get her out!”, his voice cracking with the effort of moving the debris.

Kane, R&D

Achilleas gripped Hammond’s forearms firmly and pulled as hard as he could once debris shifted. His already nasty headache flared with the exertion but he gritted his teeth and made a low roar of effort as he pulled her free,

CSO Petrakos

The trapped woman moved smoothly out from underneath the metal and was clear in only a few seconds.

~Mischief Maker

Cori heaved a sigh of relief and shook out her arms, ignoring the aches. “We better get her and ourselves off this deck. GALEN? Are transporters stable enough to beam Ensign Hammond to Primary Sickbay?”

~Corinne Dalton

“Affirmative. Repairs have improved power stability in some areas.”

“Alert Primary Medical of an incoming patient, and then beam her out right away.”

Once given the order, Hammond disappeared.

~Mischief Maker

Cori let out another sigh of relief. A lot hurt and she was tired, but she was still on her feet and seemingly uninjured. It was a good outcome all things considered.

“Come on, let’s evacuate,” she said tiredly before looking at the CSO. “And you better go to Primary Med, too, Lieutenant.”

~Corinne Dalton

Achilleas was going to nod but thought better of it with the headache he still had going. Instead he gave Corinne a weak smile. “You’re probably right. I could use a truckload of pain reliever right now. At least we got Ensign Hammond out safely.”

CSO Petrakos

She nodded at the CSO and Kane. “Alright, let’s get out of here as quickly as we can,” she said, moving back out of the lab and back down the corridor to one turbolift that she knew was still functioning. Or at least had been.

Dalton hit the button and soon the lift actually appeared (much to her surprise). Stepping in, she waited for the others and then called out, “Deck 5.” Soon they were on the way and Cori took the opportunity to lean against the lift wall, letting the chaos die back from her own mind. It had bene a whole lot for her new body and brain to process!

~Corinne Dalton

Achilleas moved to a wall as well and braced himself against it. The headache was getting worse after the adrenaline of pulling Hammond out of danger began to wear off. He moved a hand to his forehead and gently rubbed in an attempt to get relief but it didn’t work. Instead things were getting worse until finally his legs lost strength and he slid down the wall until he was on the floor.

CSO Petrakos

“Hey now, Lieutenant, we’re almost there,” Cori said as she crouched before Petrakos. She looked at Kane and knew he’d help her get the man into the medical ward if needed. “Tell me your symptoms.”

~Corinne Dalton

“My head…” Achilleas almost groaned out the words. “That bump must have done more than I expected. My legs feel weak.”

CSO Petrakos

“Okay,” Cori said, the years of having the entire Federation library at her virtual fingertips coming in handy. She had helped out as a medic on the Saracen after all. =/\=Lieutenant Dalton to Primary Sickbay.=/\=

The lift door slid open and Cori had Kane keep it open. =/\=We are at Deck 5 at the turbolift in Section 12. Commander achilleas requires immediate medical attention for a head injury. It’s causing muscle weakness in his legs.=/\=
