Dira held the sparkling wine in her hand and grinned. She was enjoying seeing what they chose to do and not to do. “So, another tradition is a honeymoon. Do you think you’ll take one?” she asked.

Captain Myqian, CO

“Yeah yeah yeah… gimme a minute.” Kane said as he tapped furiously at the PaDD. He then held up the device, snapped a holo of Myqian and Anthony, and tapped some more… and then he grinned and started laughing.

“So I just the pics and a clip from the security feeds to Allison.” He said as he tossed the PaDD on the table and picked up the glasses, handing Alexis’s back to her. “Its going to pop up on her comm terminal in a minute and play on a loop. She won’t be able to turn it off.” and he clicked his glass to the ones the other three held and actually giggled wickedly.

Kane

Myqian arched her brows at him. She didn’t say anything, though inwardly she was both chuckling and sighing.

Alexis didn’t want her mother to be any part of this. She knew just the knowledge of her getting married was going to send her mother over the edge. She, selfishly, just didn’t want to share any of the actual event with her. She understood, though that she had pushed Solomon past a certain point. That even though cowards backed into corners were dangerous, Solomon was going to back her into that corner as hard as he could. She sipped at the sparkling juice as her father voiced a pause.

Anthony coughed as he started to laugh and then, “Wait wait wait. Stop it, don’t send it. I need a day.” He winked at his wild haired son-in-law. He looked at Alexis and she didn’t seem too thrilled. “Let’s have a drink, celebrate, then go to my quarters to handle some legal matters. Then send it to her. No one outside this room knows, but once she does…you know what she will do.”

Bonner

Kane softly grumbled and cursed and deactivated the file. He looked at Anthony and said “You never let me have any fun.”

Anthony gave him a look that was the mirror of Alexis, and then he grinned. “You just married my daughter. I’m not stopping any of your fun.” In his ear Alexis muttered, “Can we just leave her out of this?”

Myqian smirked.

“No one will hear about it from me,” Dira said with a smirk. “What should we toast to?”

Kane looked at Alexis and said simply and matter-of-factly “To us. Probability would have never allowed for this potentiality except at the extreme end of reality. Good thing reality hasn’t been an obstacle to us.” and he raised his glass.

Kane

Alexis grinned. Full of words and phrasing that made other people pause and go ‘wait…what?’, but Alexis’ brain just nodded at the logic of it. Raising her glass, “To us.” Anthony grinned and winked at Alexis, “To my kids.” and then chuckled so hard it shook his whole body.

Bonner

Dira laughed and raised her glass. “To the two of you,” she said, taking a sip, letting the bubbles accentuate her feelings.

She eyed Kane. “And now you have a father-in-law, which”-she turned to attention to Anthony-“I’m curious about your plans. Will you be remaining with us for much longer? The labs are available to you as long as you need.” They certainly had the space for visiting personnel and if Alexis and Solomon wanted him to remain longer, they could easily accommodate.
