Elanor materialized into the Ogawa’s transporter room with a bit of a grimace on her face. She shuddered briefly, as if she momentarily felt bugs crawling on her skin. Intellectually she knew she felt no such thing, but her imagination loved to tell her otherwise. She shook it off with a grin as she stepped down from the platform and glanced around the room.

If one had not seen an image of her previously, they would have difficulty reconciling her appearance with her file. She was not overly tall, barely 5‘6 (if one was generous) and carried herself as though she danced everywhere rather than walked. She was slender, with pale Irish skin and light grey eyes (sparkling with anticipation), and black hair falling past her shoulders in a mix of loose strands and intricate braids. Delicately pointed ears peaked out through the artful mess of hair. If it weren’t for the uniform one might have thought she had stepped right out of Tolkein’s Middle Earth.

As was becoming tradition on the Owie the unsuspect…new crew members were greeted by the ivory white skinned, blonde Ensign from Human resources. Her willowy frame draped in the red divisions uniform appeared as if from nowhere clutching her PaDD to her chest and her large eyes brimming with the excitement that seemed to fuel her. Her grin spread across the entirety of her face as she positively bounced in anticipation of a new person.

“Hi hi hi,” she said “I’m Ensign Charlie, welcome to the USS Ogawa. Please if you’d just place your hand here for system recognition.” She held the PaDD out to show a blue scanning region and waited still smiling.

Elanor startled briefly at the Ensign’s greeting before answering her grin with one of her own. “Of course,” She replied, placing her hand on the PaDD. “Thank you for the exuberant greeting. I take it you are the welcoming committee?”
