Newly attired in his new mostly-black-with-green-trim-and-white-shoulders uniform, with new commbadge resting on his chest, Brad strode into the Newie’s Primary Sickbay and took a look around.

Or, he tried to, anyway. He was briefly stymied at the second set of doors’ refusal to open, until a UV light system activated in the small vestibule.

“Ooh, aseptic entry. Might get annoying if I’m in a hurry, but I imagine there’s a way to bypass this,” he said, with an intrigued look on his face. “I wonder what it’ll do if I try to walk in with a mug of coffee…”

“So I’ll take that as ‘something bad’ would happen if I try to bring in a mug of coffee,” Brad answered the AI. “I’ll just be sure to finish my morning mug in my quarters, but a mug of hot English Breakfast wouldn’t be amiss once I get to my office. I’ll trust you to make the tea, but I’d like a jar of milk and sugar bowl separate. Anytime I’ve tried to get my preferred mix replicated it comes out tasting like shortbread, somehow.”
