The cargo bay which was dark and quiet except for the dimly glowing red alert strip lighting suddenly erupted into a bright hue of colors as the Away team materialized in the center of the room. The first thing they would notice was that the air temperature was slightly above what they would be used to, inviting tiredness and the gravity had also been seemingly lightened. Everything seemed to invite the idea of sleep.

In the cargo bay itself, there wasn’t a soul to be found, and after the final transport was successful the room returned to its dark and cozy environment, the only change was the collective breathing and noise of the away team, it was eerily quiet.

Doctor Korvoh quickly pulled out and started using the tricorder once he was materialized in, scanning for signs of life, unusual pathogens, or any other anomalies with the atmosphere. In the dim lighting, the googles provided limited visuals for the room and the tricorder being designed for complete dark, though they are probably slightly better off than someone coming in used to bright light rooms. The doctor also made sure to make occasional scans of the other away team members to monitor their neural chemistry in the event that they become affected by the anomaly.

Hampton quickly unsaddled the field generator and put it on the floor. He entered several commands into the control pad on his arm and turned to Manhattan. “The generator at walking pace within five feet of myself.” He explained. Looking around his hand rested on his phaser, but he did not pull it out. “What’s the plan Captain?” He asked Manhattan.

“I guess we don’t have much here… so let’s get to the bridge first and see if we can recover the board logs. Remember you are authorized to fire with your weapons only if you think it is worth the risk.” Taking out the torch from the kit, he then distributed the team of other torches and conventional bullets rail-handgun. He knew that some anomalies weren’t affected by phasic weapons and it was best to be prepared for everything “5 feet, uh? Let’g get moving.” He signaled the team toward a random direction “Remember me to pass by the environmental control. We need to fix this sleepy problem.”
