As Cobb marched through the ship on the way to the RTF Briefing Room, he used his commbadge to summon the away team members to the meeting. As a leader, he had always held tightly to the tenet that one should never ask their men and women to do that which they themselves would not. And yet here he was, about to send this select group towards almost certain death while he remained safe and comfortable on the ship. So the least he could do was have the balls to brief them personally before the event.

Stepping into the briefing room, Cobb’s eyes scanned nervously from one corner to the next, half expecting another new anomaly to burst forth and add a touch of drama and confusion to the process. But as the seconds ticked by and he was met with only silence, the Captain began to accept that he was truly alone. Until the away team members began to filter in, that was.

OOC: Jay, if Manhattan also wants to give the away team a briefing then I’m totally happy for him to come in and take over this one. I just wanted to get the ball rolling on things :)
