Khiryn stepped off the turobolift after it arrived on deck 33. Why is the counseling center down here? It looks like practically everything else down on these lower decks is weapon systems.

The Ensign chalked it up to the fact that the Mjolnir-class was designed for combat, not science. It’s a warship, not a science vessel… no matter what the ship’s mission is. Khiryn shook his head. Though I’m still trying to wrap my head around what the mission actually entails.

As he approached the Chief Counselor’s office, he wondered what she was like. If even half of what had been intimated about past assignments was true… he almost pictured her as a battlefield medic—patching people up just enough to go out there and contain the next anomaly.

Ensign Donivas shook his head again. He knew he was letting the ambiguity of the ship’s mission color his perceptions and did his best to clear his thoughts. She’s a scientist and doctor just like you, she just focuses on the body and the mind.

Feeling centered again, Khiryn chimed the door to the Chief Counselor’s office.
