The landing party was called to assemble at the transporter pad. The beam down position was set to outside the colony’s major settlement. Just far enough away to do some recon before entering. A contingent of security and ARU personnel were among the group. As well as medical support. The group also had equipped the experimental devices that would hopefully help counter the anomalies effects.

Driven by his instinct for caution, Commander Nyman wanted to be sure everything was arranged to reduce the possibility of complications.

Dorian hefted the pack carrying the EACS (experimental anomaly containment system). Though he was in human form, his sensors were scanning the environment.

Ash strode into the transporter room with purpose, her two support officers, Ensign Andi X’aw and Louis Harsk stood next to her, phasers primed. She felt it was important for her officers to be prepared for anything, “Ah hope we’re not too late?”

The new RTF lead walked into the transporter room with a small team of ‘RTF agents’ - whatever those were. Like elite hunters or something. She was wearing black tactical gear and a whole bunch of weapons she hadn’t even tried out yet. She had a backpack of equipment just like the rest of her small group. She simply nodded at everyone in the room and watched.

The Commander stood in the transporter room and observed as the team assembled. He cleared his throat and straightened up, placing his hands behind him.

“Alright everyone, you have your orders. Keep in mind, this anomaly is dangerous. We’ve taken every precaution, but it is up to you to follow the procedures set in place. Direct contact with the anomaly is still strictly prohibited.” He paused, looked around the room with slight squint,

“If anyone in your party, and I mean anyone starts behaving strangely, call up and have we’ll pull them out. If anyone attempts to handle the anomaly without proper equipment, use every non-lethal method at your disposal to prevent direct contact. If anyone manages to make direct contact with the anomaly, you are hereby authorized to attempt to contain them by any means necessary. Use of lethal force at this point will be reviewed by me and the Captain, per protocol. Any further questions?”
