In the relative calm of sickbay despite the power outage, 10-year-old Hazel Loughty and the Chief Medical Officer Lieutenant Maxwell were engaged in a focused study session. Suddenly, a transporter beam envelopes Hazel whisking her away, leaving confusion and concern in its wake.

“Hazel?” Brad asked, making sure he’d seen correctly. As the reality set in, he forced himself to switch to crisis mode. “Alright, NE Nurses Kander, Barlow, and Gold, keep sickbay running in case anyone was hurt in that blackout. S’len, White, Packer, grab tricorders and scan every inch of the room - I want to know if there’s as much as a hint of where she’s gone or who took her. I’ve got to go tell Commander Loughty.” He ran for the door, confident that his staff could handle themselves in his absence. =/\= “Maxwell to Loughty. I’m sorry to have to tell you this, but a transporter beam just took Hazel out of sickbay, I don’t know where. I’m on my way down.” =/\=
