As the Lieutenant left his office he went to his visit the new captain of the ship. He has never met the captain because he just got back to his duty station in his office and then realized that he wants to meet the new captain he hasn’t met. He then gets to the captain’s ready room and rang the chime. He then stood there just awaiting for the captains response and not going anywhere.

He knew being back at his duty station on the bridge, it actually helps the ship out a lot.

As Iphigenia heard the chime, she invited her visitor in for a chat.

Henao, CO

DiNozzo walked into the captains ready room and said, “Lieutenant Tony DiNozzo. Reporting captain.” He said with a firm look on his face as he stood at attention. Knowing that he’ll do everything in his power that he is going to do what he can do to make her proud.

DiNozzo, CTO

“Lieutenant DiNozzo,” Iphigenia greeted warmly, extending her hand in a firm handshake. “I’m Captain Henao, and it’s truly a pleasure to meet you. I understand this is not your first time serving on the Leviathan. Welcome back.” She gestured towards a chair, inviting him to take a seat in front of her desk.

With a hint of amusement in her voice, she continued, “So, you couldn’t resist the allure of the Levi, huh?” She leaned back in her chair, curious to hear his reasons for returning to the ship. She wanted to delve deeper into Lieutenant DiNozzo’s motivations for rejoining the Leviathan. “What aspects of the ship or the crew drew you back? Was it the camaraderie, the challenges of deep-space exploration, the anomolies or perhaps something else that called you back to our vessel?” She leaned forward, eager to hear his thoughts on his decision to return.

Henao, CO

“Well captain. It’s all of the above honestly. It couldn’t be anything better. This ship has made me realize who I am and who I want to be captain. Everything from the crew, to my job, to the anomalies, to the ship and her captain, captain.” He answered.

DiNozzo, CTO

Iphigenia smiled, pleased with Lieutenant DiNozzo’s response. “I’m glad to hear that, Lieutenant,” she replied. “It’s always great to know that the Leviathan has had a positive impact on its crew. Despite our unusual missions, we strive to create an environment where everyone can grow and excel in their roles while forging strong bonds with their fellow crew members.”

Her curiosity was piqued. “And you mentioned the ship and her captain. I guess you were referring to the previous Captain since we have just met. Was there something specific about Captain Cobb’s leadership that resonated with you? I, unfortunately, did not have the opportunity to meet him before I took command, so I’m always trying to find out what he was like.”

Henao, CO

“He was one that actually inspired me to figure out who I am and who I was when I was here last. Captain Cobb had a sense of patients and something I know you have yourself. His leadership made it where everyone was welcome to say their opinion and honestly, he was an open book in a sense.” He said to Captain Henao.

Lt. DiNozzo

Iphigenia nodded, absorbing the insight. “I appreciate hearing about Captain Cobb’s leadership style. I know he was an experienced Commander and I can only hope that I can follow in his footsteps. My goal has always been to create an environment of open communication and welcoming opinions. It is essential for a cohesive crew. It sounds like he had a positive impact on you, and I’ll certainly strive to carry forward that legacy. And please, feel free to share any thoughts or suggestions you might have in the future, Lieutenant. Your perspective is invaluable to me. Is there anything else you’d like to share with, in general? How are you settling back in? Have you met any of the new crew?”

“Well captain. As I have settled back into my own office uh, I did meet a young fine cadet. I hear she is doing Medical and wanting to do Tactical as well. But other than that I’m settling in very well. Uh now as for the new crew, I haven’t except for the Cadet. She said if she wants to get promoted, she needs training on Tactical and I’m willing to provide that trainning. Although, I also suggest as your Chief Tactical Officer, that we should get some more junior officers on board. I have reviewed the roster for the Levithan, and noticed that aren’t many Junior Officers. So I was thinking that I can take a swing Junior Officer. I recommend Cadet Mazelon Kanayo as a swing officer on board the Levithan, as Tactical and Medical. She’d be a great officer for both. Let alone captain, I’ll need someone to cover me when I’m either not there on the bridge.” He said with a smile and explained to the new captain who is willing to help get adjusted to the crew and even himself.

CTO DiNozzo

Iphigenia nodded thoughtfully, appreciating DiNozzo’s input. “Thank you for your insights, Lieutenant. It’s great to hear that you’ve already connected with a promising cadet and that you’re settling in well. I’m definitely on board with the idea of bringing in more junior officers to bolster our ranks. Your recommendation for Cadet Kanayo sounds promising, especially with her interest and potential in both Tactical and Medical. It’s a wise suggestion to have someone cover you on the bridge, and having a versatile officer like her could be a valuable asset. And as for fostering open communication, I want to emphasize that your role as Chief Tactical Officer plays a crucial part in that. Feel free to express any concerns or ideas you have, not only for your department but for the ship as a whole. Our teamwork will be vital to our success.”

“Yes captain. Uh my main concern is that for my department itself, it doesn’t have enough people. So I was thinking,” handing her a pad. “that I can start training cadets and ensigns up to where I am as Chief Tactical Officer, I feel like as a Department Head, I should be able to do so with your permission of course.” He added. “As for the cadet captain, I am more then willing to have Cadet Kanayo on the bridge with me sir so she knows the ropes of how being a tactical officer should work on board this vessel sir.” Without question, he knew that it was a request for the young cadet to come and be trained on the bridge with him so he can show her how things work and what doesn’t work. “With that being said. I also want to give Cadet Kanayo the ship a little more as well. She might not know this ship as well as I do captain.” As he started to explain. “I can be her mentor. And yes sir, she’ll be a valuable asset to my Tactical team but I’m not sure if you’ll allow that.” He added. “On that pad sir, is some tactical simulations on the holodeck so she knows what to expect when I’m not on the bridge either on a away mission or in my officer or my quarters. With your permission of course.” As he sat there explaining what he should do for the young cadet.

Iphigenia nodded, taking the pad from DiNozzo and reviewing its contents. “Your initiative to train and mentor cadets and ensigns is commendable, Lieutenant. It’s a proactive approach that will not only bolster our department’s strength but also ensure that we have capable officers ready to step up when needed. I’m granting you permission to proceed with this training program. Your experience and guidance will be invaluable to those under your tutelage.”
She glanced at the tactical simulations on the pad and then looked back at DiNozzo as she continued. “Since you already have Cadet Kanayo in mind for this training, I would just be sure its something she is serious about pursuing and I would also have to consult with her commanding officer, Dr. Maxwell to ensure she has the time to participate, since her main duties are to the medical department.”
