With the rapid greetings and introductions of everyone it was hard for Conrad to get a word in, but he wasn’t overly bothered by it. When the opportunity to respond presented itself to introduce himself, well he smiled wryly as he firmly grasped the other’s hand. “Thank you for the welcome. I’m hoping that my stay isn’t much of an inconvenience. Since Starfleet had me heading out this way they saw fit to have Ensign Anders tag along. It sounds like she’ll be rejoining your crew while I’ll be continuing on to my destination in a few days or so. The Leviathan can get me there a bit quicker than a shuttle.” Conrad released the man’s hand before nodding to the other two officers in greeting.

Luna stepped a bit closer to Raauhl. There was a tension to her as she watched the stranger. Her blue eyes studied the man carefully. ” It’s nice to meet you. I hope you don’t plan on endangering this ship or her crew.” She said calmly. There was a hint of distrust to her voice.
Ensign Luna

Sensing Luna’s words he chuckled, “I am sure the Captain has no desire in doing anything but seeing how we operate and why we’re the best ship the RTF have.” He turned back to the Captain before finding Anders’ eyes, “Actually that’s right, Ensign Anders has been reassigned to the Leviathan perhaps a little longer than she imagined in the first instance. The shuttle was a replacement for one we lost and we have only just managed to acquisition it and since you’re now aboard were about to begin operating in silent blue alert which means until we come out of it there will be no communication of the ship and the only people not on this ship that know where were going is the top brass at Hades.” He explained, “I hope this isn’t to much of a disappointment I may speak a little selfishly but its good to have you back.”

“Well shall we get you both assigned to your rooms?” He asked.

• Commander Raauhl, XO

The lights in the shuttle bay they flickered off momentarily. A rush of cold air rushed in to where you can see your breath. The lights turned back on the cold air was gone and they’re standing by the door was a plague doctor.

“Hello there before I allow you to enter the vessel I need to give you a quick scan over to make sure you’re not carrying anything. It is standard procedure for any vessel. Entering a closed ecosystem pretty much”

He said

Conrad looked from the openly distrustful security officer, understandably so to an extent, to the Commander who was likely the XO though that wasn’t explicitly stated, and then to the new arrival of this very strange person who seemed intent on theatrics. He decided he may as well address them in the order that transpired.

He put on as disarming of a smile as he could, though most people found his height and size intimidating so however effective that was is questionable, before he replied to Luna. “I’m just here for a ride. I plan on just introducing myself to the senior staff and staying in my quarters for most of the journey. I’ve got some reading to catch up on.”

He then turned to the Commander. “I have no problem with a comms blackout. I don’t have anyone to call or correspond with. While I wasn’t given the Leviathan’s itinerary, I was told that it’d be reaching a transfer point in about seven to sixteen days, they wouldn’t specify exactly for operational security, so I’ll be content and busy myself with whatever I can in the meantime.”

He turned at last to the plague doctor and furrowed his brows slightly. “I will make myself available at sickbay for an onboard physical and scan after I’ve had a chance to settle in to my assigned quarters and rest. Considering Ensign Anders and I were aboard that shuttle for the last few days, I think we’d been isolated long enough for anything to have shown up on the shuttle’s internal bio-monitor.”

Conrad let out a short sigh before turning back to the Commander. “If you’d please lead the way I would like to get to a shower.”

Ryder nodded “Right away sir, Ensign Luna would you please show Ensign Anders to her newly assigned quarters, I’ll show the Captain here to the guest quarters. Thank you for dropping in Lieutenant ISAC, as always you remain ever vigilant to our medical needs. ” Raauhl smiled, though slightly unorthodox ISAC had proven himself to be another valuable member to this patchwork crew with each member bringing their own uniqueness to it. “If you’d like to follow me, sir.” Raauhl began to lead the way, away from the more junior officers.

Surda nodded to Rahuul, signaling that she would accompany her officers. She turned to Luna and Jewels, gesturing towards the turbolift.
-Surda, CoS

” Of course” Luna said and turned to leave with Jewels and Surda. ” I’m so happy you are back Jewels.” She said.

She stopped as an after thought. ” Oh commander, if he gives you any trouble let us know” Luna said.

“I apologise I don’t think I mentioned but I am the executive officer aboard the Leviathan and I hope to make your visit with us as pleasant as possible. I’m also sorry about the welcoming party. The crew is first-rate but it comes with a little bit of distrust towards outsiders, we’ve had a recent bout with Section 31 and thus our security officers are extra vigilant, Lieutenant ISAC is a great doctor but for the life of us we can’t figure out why he likes to show as a plague doctor, he gets the job done and Captain Cobb seems more than happy and the crew have grown used to it.” Explained the Trill as they neared the turbo lift.

Conrad made a small grunt at the revelation of the crew’s distrust of Section 31. “I’m not on the best of terms with them either, so I can appreciate the extra bit of caution. I’m sure your crew is great if a bit unconventional. Nothing wrong with that.”

ISAC was not amused by the new CO lack of protocol. “ fine do whatever you feel like you must what do I know I’m just a doctor” the hologram disappeared. Isaac was going to spend some time in his hollow matrix before returning back to sick bay. Small little ball hollow projector flew away out of the shuttle bay.

OOC: I’m not ‘officially’ the new CO. This is placed timeline-wise before Sharon’s character Cobb disappeared, but it sets up why I would be on the ship during the current anomaly. That way I don’t just appear. Although… it might have been interesting to get spat out by the anomaly as some sort of replacement.

Conrad followed the XO out of the flight deck with a quick wave to Ensign Anders.
