Hammor came through the door and looked around the bay. He had only been on the ship for a few hours, but was already behind in what he needed to get done… chiefly being getting cleared for duty by Medical. He looked at a passing nurse and said “Excuse me? New Ops Chief.” and he pointed at his chest. “I need to get my check in done if you all have the time.”

Hammor, Ops

Doctor Gordon had entered sickbay and made a beeline for the CMO’s office but stopped in his tracks the moment he noticed the hulking green officer. “Whoa,” he unintentionally muttered. “You’re new onboard. Anything I can help you with, Sir?”

-Ens. Gordon, MD

Hammor looked down and said “Oh, yeah. Thanks, Ensign. I need my check in done, if you have a minute.”

He really didn’t but he couldn’t think of a good enough excuse. So he grabbed the nearest medical tricorder and flipped it open. He extracted the diagnostic wand and started waving it over the man as he talked. “Any recent injuries or illnesses to report?”

After the diagnostic he pulled up the Orion’s medical file.

The files showed scars and brands all over the Ops officer’s body, a history of multiple… dozens, even… fractures and various other injuries that came with his upbringing. But the man stood there and said “None. No changes and I feel fine, Doc.”

Hammor, Ops

“Any lasting effects from your multitude of injuries?” still trifling through the medical file.

Dr. Gordon had little experience with Orions, particularly male ones. He was curious but also had a nagging need to return to the secondary sickbay and his experiences. “Tell me Commander, do the pheromones male Orions secrete act in the same manner as the female ones?” He was genuinely curious.
