Priscilla had arrived the day before, was all checked in and had seen to the morning briefing. There wasn’t much currently happening in the Science Department, so she had decided once everything was settled and everyone was about their business, she would see to her little project.

The young woman had been studying fatigue and space anomalies on ship metals since she could remember. Even as a child, she wondered why space stations didn’t blow apart from the inside from the atmospheric pressure. And she was curious how come some ships made it fine under warp speeds and others didn’t. So when she saw there were bays capable of holding fighters, she had to go see. Fighters weren’t meant for the rigors and speeds of warp. So how had they fared on this ship and out in space compared to other fighters, shuttles and roundabouts she had scanned? That’s what she wanted to know.

She had a tricorder in hand, and was walking amongst the various craft in the hanger, scanning those craft that were available. A smile of peace was on her face as she hummed and walked around. Here and there she held out the device to get a scan of a craft. Metal fatigue, space debris, anything the recorder would pick up. She wasn’t touching them… but was extremely close.
