In the vast, open space between the previous Sector and Home Sector (Sol System) and en route to Starbase One, the Dresden was cruising at Warp 8 when the ship suddenly lost all power and dropped from Warp. Throughout the ship, the crew was plunged into almost complete darkness, the Klaxon for Blue Alert echoed eerily through the ship. What caused this crisis? Where are they? How will they regain power? And are the crew of the Dresden up to this newest challenge? Shall we find out?

Condor

That morning, Manning had been the first member of the Command crew to arrive on the Bridge. It had been one of those days where she had to drag herself out of bed in order to get to where she needed to be on time, and not even her morning cup of tea had helped shaking the feeling of immense tiredness out of her body. In fact, Amelia had been mid yawn when the Dresden shook almost spitting her out of the center chair, and the blue alert came to life.

With the eerie blue light emanating from the walls, Manning turned to the crew members regaining their footing. “Status report. What is going on? Please tell me we’re not being attacked again!”

Ensign Osten was shaken from his stupor at the security station where he had been preparing to surrender his position to the day crew as his night shift ended. He tapped the console in front of him frantically, eyes flashing back and forth. “There was no indication that shields or hull integrity were damaged before loss of power, Commander. But we won’t be able to do a full diagnostic on auxiliary power.”
