Domingo’s eyes snapped into focus as he swayed on his feet. There were chaotic sounds and sights going on around him as pain pulsed throughout his body. He staggered as his legs went weak, forcing him to lean against a nearby medical device.

‘What… where…?’ was the thought going through his jumbled mind.

Bits of fragmented memory started coming back to Domingo, as he remembered being newly posted to a starship. He tried to remember any pertinent details, but everything was as elusive as soap bubbles.

The slight sway caught Katie’s eye as she tried to concentrate on helping Charlie with Orin. The hypospray had helped the pain but she still felt uncertain on her feet as she left her post on the biobed and made her way over to the man. A quick glance at his uniform revealed he was an ensign and the gold trim narrowed down his department, but he certainly looked a bit older than your average recent Academy graduate. Putting a gentle hand on his shoulder, she asked, “are you all right?”
