He thought on that for a moment, before eventually nodding. “I suppose I am if you want to boil it down like that. Earth has an interesting history, I looked more into it when I joined the academy. Figured it would be a good idea to find out about the planet’s past if I was going to study on it and, well, I ended up finding an interest in it I suppose.”

Ryley listened and pulled a rolling stool over using the handle of his cane to hook around it and tug. He sat “You do the music as part of your studies into the past?” He asked seemingly genuinely interested in the response. Apparently he was done with the physical exam but had not indicated if the Ensign could leave or not.

He scratched his head and shrugged. “Sort of? I never studied it in depth but one of the things I liked doing most after reading about a place or a time period is walk through it in the holodeck. Just to sort of, well, look at how people lived or hang around at a big event as a, uh, what’s the phrase? A fly on the wall? Yeah, that’s the one. Often when I’d walk through a place though I’d have music that fit that time, just to fit the mood and all that. Why do you ask?”
