Braxton had quickly changed into his current uniform that Starfleet had given him. His four pips were recently polished and pinned to the collar as per Starfleet regulations. Braxton had gotten into the turbolift and ordered the lift to take him to Deck Twenty Three. He proceeded to the Ready Room and pressed the chime button on the panel.

Harris, incoming XO

“Come,” came the reply through the door and they slid open as requested.

At the desk sat a woman with long blonde hair secured in a single plait that had slid over her shoulder while she had leaned over her work on the desk. Her eyes were dark, confirming her three-quarters Betazoid heritage and she wore a smile on her face. The captain’s pips on the side of her uniform collar indicated that this was indeed the CO.

“You must be Commander Harris,” She spoke, her accent decidedly not Betazoid, but rather American, not unexpected if one were to read her file though as it was no secret she was raised in the San Francisco area, near Starfleet Command, “I’m Captain Freja Andreassen.”
