Max stopped outside the Chief of Security’s office and tapped the chime. He smoothed down his freshly changed uniform and waited. He started to pick at his sleeves

The boarding physical and psych eval had taken forever but he is glad that it is finally done. He just hopes this goes well.

“Enter,” came a voice from the other side of the door.

As Hunter enters, he sees s a compact, highly secure command space located within the Security Department. Functional rather than lavish, it features a central command desk, secure computer terminals, a holographic ship schematic, personnel-tracking systems, and direct access to internal security controls. A few personal items give the otherwise austere room some character. Overall, the office serves as Reid’s command post, investigative workspace, and secure meeting room, reflecting his practical and disciplined approach to security.

Seated behind the large oak desk, sat Lt. Reid. He looked up from the computer screen embedded into the top of the desk,

“Ensign Hunter, please come in and have a seat.”
