The junior officer decided to take in some practice in a holodeck for maneuvers. He had learned the Mjolner class quite well since his transfer orders came in, and he had worked with Armadillos and other shuttlecraft for these sort of scenarios. But it couldn’t hurt to practice, as per the XO’s orders.

After working through some of the items for a few hours, Sean decided to find the first officer, starting in the CIC. “Sir,” Sean said as he approached LtCmdr Grady. “I’d like to show you a few thoughts and questions I had, if you had a moment?” He presented a datapad as well, in case the XO wanted a visual.

Finn looked up from the console he was monitoring and gave a smile to the other officer. “Well, hey there Lieutenant. I sure hope it’s something more exciting than these resource recycling reports I’ve been going over. My eyes are about to go more crossed than a compass in a magnetic storm.”

He closed out of the reports and turned his full attention to Moore. “What have you got for me?”

“Well, sir,” Sean started, “I have a few plans for maneuvering the ship and some of our shuttles. Since I’ve not had a lot of live action in a ship this size, I thought I’d run them by you.” The datapad had mostly basic and standard protocols, but had a few custom setups he had used on other assignments.

Finn took the PaDD and glanced over some of the maneuvers. On the surface they seemed well thought out. He appreciated the custom maneuvers and always was amazed at how pilots could think so well in three dimensions.

“These look pretty good Lieutenant,” he nodded. “I will confess, I can pilot things in a pinch but I’m no expert. Have you tested any of these out to see how the ship would respond?”
