Hammond’s eyes flickered open, Kilo’s eyes now staring him down, apparently she was not happy that the chime had dissruped her sleep and he was not answering. “Ok girl” he said. =^= “Hammond” =^= he said letting out a tired yawn.

Similar to a scene that played a mere five minutes ago in the Captain’s quarters the on duty comm officer’s voice sounded. The poor kid sounded like he was one more call from just giving up from the cavalcade of pissed off brass that had been demanding things in the last 15 minutes. “Sir, there’s a priority 1, urgent visual communication from Marine Command for you. A Major General Derringer.”

That name didn’t immediately ring out for Jaxon, his direct superior was a Brigadeer but after a few moments it popped in Jax’s sleep addled mind. Derringer was his boss’s boss’s boss…MARQUADCOM (Marine Quadrant Commander).

Hammond stood up and moved to his desk putting on a robe, he thank the coms officer and brought it up on screen,. “General Derringer, how may I assist you sir?” he asked
