Usually the codes shut down the shields, but with this entity, it might have some other effect that we should be prepared for. Or it might not work at all if it’s taken steps to safeguard against them, like changing the code.=^=

T’Leia stood by at the Science station, ready to track the Away Team. She would never admit it to anyone but she felt some anxiety about this away team. Was it because she had sent a young woman under command into danger? Perhaps, but Leeds was the woman for the job so it had been a logical decision.

As the turbolift doors opened, Sapeth stepped onto the bridge.

“Captain, where are we in obtaining a sample so we can do final testing on the modifications?”

“The Marines are going to pick it off of the Pickett, did you want to accompany them, they might have use of an engineer once over there? I sent a request down, but it may have gotten missed, there’s lots of things happening at once it seems,” Freja responded while she waited for the fleet to respond, “I plan on utilizing the prefix codes in hopes that those things haven’t changed them, just waiting to who in the fleet wants to join us on this journey. Once the sample team launches, I’ll try those codes in hopes it drops the shields.”

Sapeth raised an eyebrow. “Perhaps Captain. I will add checking internal communications to our list of systems to review. But it does seem prudent to have an engineer on the away team, I will gather my tools and proceed to the flight deck. Captain.”

After a short pause, Sapeth turned and got back into the turbolift heading for engineering to grab his kit.

The fleet responded quickly the Tribune was willing to go it seemed Captain T’Mora would not be persuaded otherwise and the Cthullu also responded two of the Jem’Hadar Attack ships moved in as well as one of the K’vorts it seemed that they would have a good amount of escorts guarding them while the away team did their thing The Pickett was outside the nebula alone at the moment but how long they might have before Entity reinforcments came was a mystery
