A couple of hours had passed since the Tal’Kiran vanished. The moment the comms meeting ended, she broke formation and cloaked, her crew reduced to just 80 volunteers—the bare minimum needed to keep a D’Deridex operational. She disappeared into the nebula without a word. Since then… nothing. No pings. No telemetry. Not even sensor ghosts. Just silence.

The IKS K’voras cloaked not long after, slipping out of the nebula just far enough to get a scan. What she found wasn’t comforting. The monsters were still out there—those warped, hulking things patrolling the edges of long-range sensors, shifting in and out of view like predators waiting for a lapse in attention. They hadn’t moved on. Their focus was still locked on Chimera and her allies.

But the Tal’Kiran?

Still no sign. And in this kind of silence, that’s the part that keeps you watching the shadows.

Freja hated the waiting game, she supposed it came from her years as a fighter pilot. She was used to getting out there and doing rather than sitting in a chair waiting for word.

At least, thanks to the K’voras, their enemy seemed to be fixated on them rather than moving on to another less military-like object for the time being.

Suddenly there was beeping at the console a hail was coming in the officer at the Ops station turned “Captain we are getting a hail it appears to be the Tal’Kiran…but I don’t know it’s like their id signal is flickering…could just be the nebula I will run diagnostics but would you like me to open channel anyway?” She asked
