While she left the bridge to go to the mess Hall, the turbolift doors had then swooshed wide open for her. She stepped in. “Mess Hall.” She said with a little bit of gratitude. The turbolift doors had then swooshed themselves closed. The turbolift had then started to move as she stood there with a smile on her face. The lift had then stopped at the destination of Hall’s and swooshed it’s doors wide open. She had then later stepped off from the turbolift as it closed behind her. She then walked to the mess Hall. The doors slid open for her to walk in. She then walked into the mess Hall and went to the replicator. “Banana Split.” She ordered. The replicator had then replicated her Banana Split that she ordered. She had then grabbed it and found a open seat to sit at and started to eat it slowly. Hall also had a pad on her which was her book and she sat there eating and reading.

Kils trotted in like she was glued to Hammonds right leg, she sniffed the air with excitement. Hammond moved to the replictors, made himself a turkey club sandwitch, salad and a glass of water. He also replicated a large bowl of water for Kilo. “Lets find a seat shall we” he said looking down at Kilo, moving through the room, he recognized the Chief of Security from her file. “Mind if Kilo and I join you Lieutenant?” he asked. The Malinois eyes drifted to the lieutenant, as if she was also waiting for and answer.

T’Leia had completed her check in with the CSO/XO and afterward she had gone into the Science Labs to meet the crew there and get a sense of the place. Her first official shift did not start until the morning and she was feeling hungry so she headed down to the Mess Hall.
After she had entered she glanced around to familiarize herself with the layout and the crew that was within. Her eyes lit upon some type of animal that appeared to be with an enlisted officer and she studied it curiously for a moment before heading over to the counter to collect a chicken salad and tea.

OOC: Just a small note, Hammond is not enlisted ;) he is a Colonel which is the same rank as Captain. He commands all the marines on the ship :)

Hammond smiled “Dicipline and training, that’s the key to a well oiled team” he add. “How long have you been on the ship Lieutenant?” Hammon asked then took a drink of water and a bite of his club. Kilo lapped at the water eagerly. The sound of her collar clanking on the side of the bowl.

She looked at him and pondered. “I’ve been on the ship for about 3 maybe 4 months I don’t know. I don’t really keep track of how long I’ve been on board. Just help where I’m needed, have my security team do rounds on each and every deck on board along with myself and then back to the bridge. So I don’t really keep track.” She said looking at the Colonel.

T’Leia quietly took a seat at the invitation and sipped her tea before she started in on her salad.

“Fascinating creature,” T’Leia said with a nod in response. “Yes, I am Lt T’Leua, Chief Science Officer and I just came aboard as well. I guess we all will need to familiarize ourselves with the ship. Though I imagine that you, Colonel will learn it faster then we will given your companion.”

“A pleasure lieutenant, ” he looked at Kilo who was not resting quietly. “Sometimes I think she’s smarter than I am” he noted. “I was facinated when they first announced the Chimira, so I have been studying her for quite some time now, if you have questions please don’t hesitate to ask.” he said eating some of his meal

Melanie smiled gently as she looked between the lieutenant and Kilo. “Well, she certainly acts like she knows what’s going on,” she remarked with a soft chuckle, watching the creature. “That kind of intelligence is rare… and impressive.”

Her gaze shifted back to the officer, interest lighting up in her expression. “I appreciate that. The Chimera’s systems are unlike anything I’ve served on before—it’s not every day you find yourself aboard a ship designed with such… intentional adaptability.” She paused, then added sincerely, “So I might take you up on that offer. I’ve got a few questions brewing already.”

She took a small bite from her tray, then leaned slightly forward, curious. “If you’ve been studying her for a while, what would you say is the most overlooked feature of the Chimera?”

“Do tell me Colonel, what was your interest on board the Chimera?” She asked the colonel.
