She grinned and gave Alexx a nod before looking back at the tricorder and doing as instructed. Her eyes widened as new information came in, but there was no way for her to know what all of it meant. “How do I know which is which?” she asked.

Ryley watched the excitement and confusion as the data flooded the tricorder. He smirked then shook his head, he really was going soft in his old age.

“Right, pay attention kid because I don’t like repeating myself.” He began to point out the readings and what each one meant to the child. All in all what should have taken maybe three, four minutes ended up twelve minutes in before he was done. He spoke continuously his voice gruff and steady as shared the medicine.

Sowyn just absorbed everything like a sponge. It was all so fascinating to her and while some might be bored or miss details, she was forgetting none of it.

Meanwhile, Dalaira was smiling at her charge.

The scans showed that the older woman was in good health and that there were no obvious problems needing attention.

Ryley left the child with the readings for a moment and prepared the vaccination hypo. He paused a moment palming it. “You wanna do it?”

Sowyn looked between Dalaira and Ryley, and Senz just gave a subtle nod. She was fine with it. Nodding eagerly, Sowyn held out her hand to accept the hypo.

The girl moved her chair closer to the biobed so she could have easy access and she positioned the hypo. “Is this the right place?” she said, even though she had remembered well and placed it exactly where he had shown her on herself.

Ryley watched. His initial response flicked through this head sure try it and if it’s wrong we will know when she keels over. not at all child friendly. He cleared his throat, but down the sarcasm with a face that one would associate with a bitter taste and instead said the much more appropriate. “That’s right kiddo, now find the ridge and deliver the shot”

When she was done he held his hand out for the device and pocketed it.

“Thanks for playing the Live action operation game. Any questions.”

“How soon can we expect to feel any symptoms from the vaccine, if there any?” Dalaira asked.
