“Depends on who you are, I suppose,” Faye said, her tone taking on a tiny bit of bitterness. She shifted her gaze to Memphis. “My assumption is at this point that I do what I’m told to. If I can be useful, great. Doesn’t mean I have to like it.”

Memphis shrugged, “Liking it helps, willingness comes a close second though. I will run it up the chain if you want, I have a few well connected friends on the yellow deck.” Memphis stated referring to intel operations directorate. Took a sip of his drink, and grinned at her.

Frank trundles in with an exhausted demeanor. He found a seat at the bar that was closest to the doors. Frank ordered a 80 proof whiskey. He watched closely as the bartender poured it into a crystal clear glass.

“Hmmm, that’s dangerous,” Faye said before also taking a sip of her drink. “But sure, go ahead, see what they say. See if they laugh first, that would be telling,” she said with raised eyebrows and a slight smirk.
