Ensign Three of Five was wandering around the ship, PADD in one hand, a tool with multiple functions in the other. He’d stop in corridors, open a panel, fix a wire or conduit, close the panel and move on the the next item on his PADD.

The next item on Three of fives padd was a repair request from Marine country. The information showed that the request had been open for two weeks and now it was in to the third. It stated that several compensators in the primary power nodes where malfunctioning and as a result put some of the optional safety systems in Marine country at risk of failure if the ship took to much of a beating in a fight. The log also showed that Marine Captain Styxx had been chasing the work once every three days for the past two weeks.

And if three of five was familiar with the crew and the scuttlebutt onboard. He would hear the many exaggerated (Or Possibly not) stories of Styxx’s temper.

Ensign Three of Five read the information on his PADD and headed toward Marine Country. “Wait, this has been requested two weeks ago? Why are we just now getting this?” He asked under his breath as he walked. When he arrived, he found Marine Captain Styxx and reported to him. “Good afternoon, sir. I apologize for the delay, I don’t understand why this is just now being assigned, when it was requested two weeks ago, I’m sure you’re upset, I’ll get you back up and running as fast as I can.” Ensign Three of Five stated.

The man turned to Three of Five and nodded. He like Three of five was also augmented a handful of implants could be seen just under his skin and one on his left check. “I am Not the Commanding Officer. I am Tech. Technology specialist.” he said his tone robotic and flat. “However i will take you to her. Although i hope you have sufficient armour.” he said attempting a joke as he lead Three of five through Marine country.

Marine country was a buzz of activity as always some marines where running laps others where cleaning and a group stood in front of a memorial clearly finishing what every service had been done there. Three of five stuck out as a single blot of yellow amongst a sea of dark green. The pair made it to the end of Marine country as raised voices could be heard. tech stopped at the open door and looked in.

The short marine CO was sat on a chair her face a picture of annoyance and anger. Her cold blue eyes had settled on a young Caitian who was applying a dermal regenerator to her hand “If I get my hands on one of this duct rat. I’m going to take their Hyper spanner and shove it right up there.” Rive was stopped how ever by Tech clearing his throat.

“What” she snapped.

“Ensign Three of five, from engineering is here Ma’am” he said his tone never wavering.

River looked up her face framed by her long blonde hair “About dam time. One of those compensators form the optional systems failed and blew up my dam coffee machine while is was making a coffee. I told your lot that even though the systems where optional they still presented a hazard. Luckily it was just my coffee machine and not one of the other systems” she snapped as another marine a hard looking female Ferasans took the still sparking machine away.

Ensign Three of Five took out a hyperspanner. “I’ll take a look at it and see what I can accomplish.” He stated. “And I’ll get you a new, better, coffee maker.” He stated as he started to run the hyperspanner over the circuitry of the compensator.
