Seth had just finished walking though the engineering department and meeting the shift leaders. The Junior Officers on the ship seemed competent and eager to prove themselves. Seth still needed to have a formal meeting with the Captain and Executive Officer, the quick introduction when he arrived would not cut it. He looked at one of his collector golf balls from the vintage game of golf that one of his former students had introduced him to.

Seth yawned a little while sitting back in his chair. He picked up one of the PaDDs on his desk to see what maintenance would need to happen next.

Seth looked over the roster of engineers and one struck him as odd. Seth tapped his com badge and said, =^=Nightroad to Three of Five, please come to the Chief Engineer’s office.=^=

Seth wondered what Cain and Able were up to and needed to send them both messages.

Ensign Three of Five received the message, and responded back. =^=”Yes, sir. I will head down there as soon as I finish replacing this part on the tactical station.” =^=

Seth looked at his list of areas to inspect and proceeded to the bridge to start tackling them in systematic order.

The Chief Engineer had barely made it to the turbolift when the door opened and an officer wearing the red of the Command staff stepped out. About the same height as the CE, this officer looked slightly slimmer and was clearly Bajoran with both the nose wrinkles and earring on display.

The man’s eyes shifted to Nightroad and pause a moment, followed by a slight smile appearing on his face. “Lieutenant Nightroad, I presume?” He took a few steps towards him and held out a hand in an offered handshake. “I’m Lieutenant Commander Akirel Ros, the acting Executive Officer while Commander th’Jir is on leave. I’m glad I caught you, were you going somewhere?”

Seth extended his hand towards the Commander and said, “Aye Sir, I am on my way to the bridge to tackle some small adjustments to the ships systems.”

OOC: My apologies, I got quite caught up and distracted.

IC: “Really? Well in that case I’ll accompany you.” Ros turned, falling into step beside the Chief Engineer.

“Anything exciting? Are we recalibrating the main power resonator coupling? Purging the plasma manifold? Installing a tetryon residdium flow valve to the phaser targeting turbo encabulator?”

“Aye Sir,” Seth replied while grabbed his tool bag and exited Engineering towards the turbolift.

Ensign Three of Five headed to the turbolift. As the doors open, he saw the XO and CE. “Oh, sir, I was just headed to see you, as you requested.”
