“Sure do.” Mardusk said. “I come from a people who possess a great deal of raw strength, but lack a framework that allows them to use that strength productively. I have always been an oddity of an Orion. I’m big, even for them. I look at my size and strength as a tool. A tool to show other races that Orions aren’t all criminals and slavers. And a tool to show Orions that they can be better. My mom, my dad when he was alive… they strove to be better than the reputation. My purpose is to do the same. Be the best Security officer I can be, help people, protect people, and show the world that our strength can be an asset, not a weapon.”

Mardusk, CoS

She smiled and nodded. For a moment Relann was quiet, but then she lifted the data rod with the music he had given her. “Well, I think you’re doing a pretty remarkable job at that so far. I look forward to more of these sorts of conversation, if you’re open to them, and I’ll have to give this music a listen and tell you what I think. But for now, I should probably get out of your way and let you finish unpacking.”

Mardusk smiled and said “I look forward to hearing what you think of the music, and another conversation.” and he stood up and held out his hand. “I’m glad you stopped by. And my door is always open if you need it.”

It was such a regular affection by many people and Relann didn’t want to be rude, so she just wiggled her hand a bit and then brought it back down. “Sorry, you don’t want to do that. Touch telepath,” she said with a wink. “While I’m all for getting to know people better, it’s a rather intense way to go about it.” Relann grinned.

“I’ll let you know how it goes. Ta’halen, Mardusk,” she said, the word translated to ‘good evening’. And then Relann too her leave.
