USS Atlantis

[AE] - By the lords of the deep

In the heart of the Narvhalarian control room, the atmosphere buzzed with activity as the director and engineers monitored the planet’s sensors for any signs of anomaly. Suddenly, two blips appeared on the screen, indicating the presence of unidentified vessels in space.

Furrowing their brow in confusion, the director questioned, “What’s this? Are those our ships?”

The chief engineer shook their head. “No, Director. These are in addition to our own vessels. They seem to be… unknown.”

Intrigued, the director swiftly directed the long-range visual lenses towards the coordinates indicated by the sensors. As the images came into focus, Maritandralyx gasped in shock at the sight of two small specks in the vastness of space—indeed, two unknown ships. “By the depths,” they muttered, awe and apprehension mingling in their voice. “These vessels… they appeared after our ship went to warp. Could our journey have caused a ripple in the expanse, drawing them here?”

“Unknown, sir, but they appear to be in distress. We are picking up some form of energy and communication from both vessels. They appear to be… afloat in space,” the engineer replied, struggling to find the right words to describe the scene before them.

“Should we attempt to establish contact with them?” the engineer asked.

“If they are afloat, they may not be able to hear us. The Narvhalian Voyager will return in twelve tides’ time. Let’s send the Aquatic Explorer; they are ready, aren’t they?” ordered the director. “That one seems to be in the most trouble, the one the color of our tide gardens and as smooth as a pebble after a rough sea,” they added, pointing to the Atlantis on the screen.
