Many bonds are strong but some are unbreakable. The bonds of the marines where one of those bonds. No matter where some one ended up or how different their career turned out. They would always remember their bond. It was this bond that kept marine unit as powerful as they where. It was the reason so many hopeless situations had been turned around. For when you stand back to back with a marine your are no longer from different departments or life style you are bothers and sisters in arms.

Despite all they had been through the past few days the bonds of the Marines on the Atlantis where stronger then ever. Galvanised with revenge and soldered with the blood of there enemies. Looking at marine country you wouldn’t be bale to tell that battle had been fought there, the only indication where the handful of engineers milling about fixing what had been broken, and the empty beds of those that had paid the ultimate price. There names engraved on the wall of remembrance in the middle of Marine country.

But despite all this and so much more it was business as usual for those in marine country. The security checkpoint was still manned and the two guards still stood on duty.
