Between his quarters and the Main Sickbay was the Counselling Suite on Deck 11. He headed there as well with his necessary orders for the Counsellor to clear him for duty. On arrival here, he checked in with a family member Great Grandma Kiwa was still alive, so it seemed his meeting with her didn’t end her life, so he was happy about that at least.

He entered the Counselling Suite, and sat in a waiting chair for a chance to be attended to by one of the ship’s Counsellors.

The woman at the nearby desk smiled, “Lt O’Farrell is finishing up with an appointment. She will be with you in just a moment. I’m NE Tanaka, or you can call me Anne.”

“Thank you NE Tanaka,” Anjo replied with a return smile.

An officer door opened and a woman with curly bright red hair, green eyes, and classic pale skin marked her as having strong Irish Terran heritage walked down the corridor with a young man in a science blue uniform. A very strong Irish accent flowed from her, “I’ll see ya next week,” then she turned and walked back. She stopped in front of him and offered her hand. “Ensign Anjo Kiwa ? It’s nice ta meet ye. I’m Lt O’Farrell. Come on in.” She pressed the control on the office door and stepped inside.

“G’dday Lt O’Farrell,” he replied, his Aussie ‘twang’ coming through clearly, “the pleasure is all mine.” He looked around the room.

Immediately to the left of the door was a desk. A variety of places to sit and low tables dotted the rest of the open area. The right wall was taken up with a wall to wall, floor to ceiling storage until. Books, various pieces of art, and nick knacks covered the shelves. “Help yerself te the replicator and have a seat.” O’Farrell grabbed a glass of tea off her desk and had a seat in one of the chairs.

“A glass of water, 20 degrees centigrade,” he said to the replicator and his order appeared on the padd. Taking the glass, he chose a chair, and sat in it.

“Thanks for seeing me today,” he said to her, sipping at his water.

O’Farrell smiled; it was both genuine and had a hint of playfulness to it. Those that knew her came to expect it. More than playfulness it was a love of life and the experience. Those that knew her well also knew when there was more than a hint to her smile she was up to some mischief. “It’s what I’m here for lad. So why don’t ya start by tellin’ me how yer feelin’ about your first duty assignment?”

(OOC: Based on age and his bio I am assuming he has come right from the Academy. If I read that wrong I apologize.)

OOC You read it correctly :)

O’Farrell

IC: “Equal parts nervousness, excitement, anxiety and relief to put what was learnt at the academy into practice, Lieutenant,” Anjo replied, “as my results will show, I wasn’t the best of students when it came to the theoretical aspects of life at the academy, and I perhaps played pool and darts and cards a few times more than I should have, but I made up for it when it came to the more physical aspects, few in my year could outshoot me on the phaser range and by the end I was almost able to beat all in hand to hand. I was second only to Locke in my first year, Stock in my second and third years and the two smoking hot Barrell twins in my final year. Four 2nd places, and I had the bruises to prove it.”
