Jason is in his quarters unpacking. My first assignment i hope i do great he thought. Jason goes to the office of his DH for his check in. He arrives and rings the bell.

OOC: I’m going to throw you a curveball :) A simple check-in won’t do, you need to paint the picture.

IC: Ensign Maxwell would find no response from behind the door. A passing Ensign should catch the eye of the new officer. “That office is vacant.” The NE said as she passed by Maxwell, without looking up from her PaDD. “You’ll find Commander Trainor on the Bridge if you need to check in.” Now that Ensign Maxwell was aware of his acting Department Head’s location, it was up to him on what to do next.

‘Alright, thanks for the help.’ Jason goes to the turbolift and uses it to go to the bridge. The doors of the turbolift slides open and Jason looks around the bridge.
