Ghubari worked through the timeline of events as she remembered it, thankful it was all still fresh. “Orvos, I need you and Ensign Bennett to keep this ship from being destroyed. The rest of us will work on stopping Pierce.” She turned to the others and twisted the phaser in one hand while the other held the device Michail gave her. “We all interacted with him, so we all have the opportunity to stop him. Arm up. Do what you have to,” she said without a trace of uncertainty. “Stark, I encountered him on the turbolift and then we did on the bridge. You need to stop him from taking you off the ship. Kaylee, you saw him here in the arboretum. My feeling is that the bridge is where the action will culminate, but I’m open to ideas. Whatever we decide we need to be quick about it.” She included Michail in her glance as well.

OOC: Just to clarify, I think Kaylee encountered Pierce upon his appearance in the cargo bay, and then she also encountered the cat (Meridyth). If I got it wrong feel free to correct me.

IC:
“I saw Pierce in the cargo bay shortly after he appeared on board,” Kaylee said. “He wanted to see you Captain, but I attempted to stall him and learn more. Shortly after he disappeared I also encountered the cat.” Her face took on a puzzled expression. She wasn’t exactly sure when and where Meridyth had come on board.

“And he found me soon after and went about his little maniacal evil plot revelation,” Ghubari confirmed.

Bennett turned to his Chief Engineer and nodded. He knew what had to be done.

Then she crouched down to Nico and gave the treecat a pat, seemingly amused at her new tech. “Go find Pierce, both of you. If you find him, let me know and we’ll make sure he doesn’t damage our home, okay?”

Nico nodded and leaned into the pat, save the flying city, find crazy eyes stupid hat. Sounded easy enough. Nico reached into his back pack and attached his gear belt with tricorder and phaser(childrens toy’s) and then his homemade pips claiming what evr rank seven solid tin foil pips equated to.

Laraan wasn’t happy about them being separated from Orvos, but she accepted it. She would stay with Stark in any case, if he was going after Pierce, so would she. His levity showed her how pent up he really was inside. If it came to the point where the portal opened again to swallow Stark, it would be the Stark of this time. However she still didn’t know where he had gone and she knew temporal paradoxons were a bad thing. “Where exactly did you go when you were pulled through the portal last time?” she asked him.

Jayden turned to follow Orvos to Engineering.

“So, do we have a plan?” he asked once they were out of earshot of the rest of the group.

Stark cast his mind back, “He pulled me through into the Captain’s ready room and then straight through the floor and down to the nearest escape pod, weirdest feeling ever phasing through solid matter like that. One things for sure, if we’re going to take him we’ve got to get that servo off him, even if we can’t use it we should make sure that he can’t”

To Nico things were fairly simple. “I bit off hands?”

Ghubari looked to Nico with amusement. “If necessary,” she said quite seriously.

To Stark, Laraan and Kaylee, she looked thoughtful. “To the bridge then. But remember that some of our counterparts will be there and we’re going to change everything the instant we interact. But at least there’s double the help.”

OOC I’ve started a new thread for the engineering team but Orvos might want to cross post in both before they depart as he’s got a few things to say from his particularly unique perspective.

OOC: Quite accurate my friend. ;)

IC: Orvos was turning to meet Jay, however a strange feeling struck him. He paused looking about as though something was off. Then he was still, absolutely still. He focused his very being on what was going on.

Then almost all of a sudden he turned to the rest of them and said, “Wait! The timing is a bit off. We’re 47 minutes before the Athena were to be destroyed. But that doesn’t mean we have 47 minutes of time to correct things. It could come quite sooner. We are in a somewhat normal flow of time, but its as if time is trying to get back into sync. We’ll need to think fast.” He paused for a moment, thoughtfully.

“Then again…it could come much later. Maybe we have gobs of time?” he added with a chuckle. Then with a serious look he restated. “Best to assume we have very little time. Good luck!”

He allowed them all to acknowledge and leave before turning to Bennett.

Laraan nodded. “One thought, why don’t we split up and not only run after his past… or future actions, but also ahead of them. We know he wants to kidnap Stark, so some of us should go where we know he took him to… the escape pod… in case the ones of us following him fail for some reason.”

Kaylee nodded. “I agree. But as time is of the essence, we don’t want to waste time explaining the sudden appearance of ourselves to.... well ourselves.” She knew the idea of being confronted with her own self would be disturbing and unsettling. “We should get going.” She urged.

Koraia flipped her phaser in her hand. “I know myself and I’ve got a damned good poker face. So she’ll deal with this irregularity of the situation. But I don’t intend to wait for something to go wrong. He appeared on the bridge shortly after he was in the turbolift with Stark and I. At this point I should be heading to the turbolift. I’m going to the bridge and intend to shoot him when he shows up, and I can guarantee my counterpart will agree. I could use distractions though, but if you feel you can intervene better elsewhere, then do that. We can only assume he has the servo on him, but he may have it on the escape pod. But Nico is looking for Pierce and I can communicate with him anywhere on this ship.” She sudden;y wished Konral was here for a similar reason, but they’d make do.

“Let’s us an internal comm frequency and keep our commbadges open. Delta-Two should be unused right now. And it won’t interfere with the comms of our previous selves.”

Stark adjusted his “shield” device and then looked at the others. “I know a way into the Captain’s Ready Room if we want to come through there, otherwise let’s pop out of the turbolift and surprise ourselves. Nico has the best shot at getting the servo in my opinion, he’s small and he’s fast.” He looked at Ghubari, “Lay on, Captain, let’s do this.” He checked his PaDD. “Chances are I already know I’m here” he paused as he tried to get his head around the pronouns, “So Orvos is right, what happens from here on in may not follow what we remember and may not be to the same time schedule”.

Kaylee didn’t think she would have much chance of stopping him in the cargo bay, so she decided to join the others and head for the Bridge. Distractions she could definitely provide. She wanted to see this through until the end.
