Horace heard the Captain’s announcement to abandon ship. The voice was too calm, too in control for Horace’s comfort. The Captain should be calm and in control, but at the moment of declaring her ship dead in the water during combat. That might not be the best conveyance. Horace wondered if Belle had heard that same controlled speech. Horace was still wiping a bit of spittle and vomitus from his mouth as he rounded the corner. The children were crying, the place was pandemonium, and the Teachers were working as hard as they could to calm the children. There was not time to calm them. There was ten minutes to get this herd of freaked out cats into the escape pods.Horace stopped took in a deep breath, looking at the children and teachers alike. Sometimes you just needed a little shock and awe. The whistle was shrill, and piercing, but it caught attention. Even teachers froze momentarily as it was followed by a booming hoarse voice. “HEY! EVERYONE SHUT UP!” the voice echoed down the corridor like an angry giant.
As the children turned towards Horace, “ONE LINE, RIGHT NOW!” Horace announced slapping the wall he wanted them on.
Even teachers had found themselves moving into a single file line reflexively. The children pressed themselves into a line against the Walls. “Alright then, Teachers load the children.” Horace stated, crossing his arms in a manner that said he might eat a noncompliant teacher. As long as every one of them survived Horace had no issues with being the big bad scary uniformed Troll that had yelled at them, or caused them to need therapy later in life. One eyebrow quirked as they began to file by, he thought he same someone, or thing that he though he had recognized.

Most of the way down the line with the younger children, a small furred head bopped up to look over the others. He still had his back back, and all this things, cause Nightskin had gived those to him, well Korn-rows, had gived some, but only cause Night Skin wanted him to. Nico was concerned, Nightskin had spoken over the wall talkers, and they were having to leave the flying city. Last time, he had lost Golden Heart, he did not want to lose Nightskin too. Nico knew he could not get to where Nightskin was, not now, she was too busy. Something had also happened to Shadowbrother, he was not here, but not gone. Everyone was so worried, it was making Nico’s skin crawl. Then suddenly there was a loud whistle, and a louder voice. He knew that voice, Nico Stretched to look around Ishma, the Andorian boy in front of him. Nico had not known that Heart of Gold was here. Nico looked at the yelling man, and waved one of his true hands, and held onto his back back with his hand paws. Nico was gonna walk over there but the hand slapping the wall, and the emotions of Heart of Gold said to follow the rules for a time. So Nico put his hand on the wall, and urged his classmates to do the same. Settling them into a line. Nico held his head high, as he had seen Nightskin do when she was about to tell people things they did not want to hear. As he passed Heart of Gold he waved again, and simply said, “Bleek”.

Horace’s eyes went wide, when he saw the waving paw, and moved that direction, to see if whomever it was needed help. It was not until he was many steps closer, that he realized that his vison was a little blurry. It must be the after effects of the Temporal Warp, he told himself. The children and teachers were now moving in an orderly fashion. As they entered the Escape Pods, none of the teachers opted to comment on the tears rolling down the old man’s cheeks as he waved back at one of the Children. “Bleek to you too Stinker, now go get in the Pods” Horace said as he waited for every child to be loaded, and accounted for, closing and launching each pod personally. Boarding the last one himself.
