The two had left the party for the ‘new’ officers who had joined the Athena. It was much easier to hear Taylor now. “Actually, I checked out where the holodecks were the first night I was here. I joined a sim that was in progress but open to anyone. It was a…honkey tonk?…no, a bluesy, jazzy place. It was great! I even had the holodeck change my clothes and it put me in a lovely green and gold gown. Is that where you want to go?”

Chris said with a smile, he wasn’t a very good dancer , perhaps Talia would find out or they could sit and talk while listening to the music

Leading him to the same holodeck she’d met James in, they were happy to see it wasn’t in use. Once they’d entered and were looking around and the black and yellow grid, she turned to him. “I don’t know the name of the program, so we’re going to have to see how close we can get by just asking the computer.” =/\=Computer, looking for a program–a bluesy, jazzy bar with a band, populated with about 20 people.=/\=

The room changed. It wasn’t the same place she’d spent time with James, but it was similar. “Is this okay with you?” Ren asked Chris.

Talia entered with a smile, eager to spend another evening in a club that was so atmospheric. “No time like the present.” She said to Chris as they headed for the bar. =/\=Computer, change my clothing to something more appropriate for the time and place.=/\= Without a lost beat, her uniform melted into a black, sleeveless dress adorned with sequins and fringe, gloves, a small, decorative headpiece and simple, black shoes. Ren looked down at herself and did a little twirl so the fringe swung out from the dress. “I love the way they dressed back then. It’s so much more fun than a plain uniform.” As they reached the bar and claimed two stools, she looked at Taylor. “Ok, your turn.”

Chris’ eyes widened when he saw the outfit that Talia was in, she was beautiful but he chose not to say anything

Suddenly his Uniform vanished and in it’s place was a black hat with a white stripe around the brim, black shirt, black trouser with white pin stripes, white suspenders and black shows nicely polished.

He tipped his hat to Talia

Talia grinned as she gave him the once over. “Very snappy! Oh look, the bartender.” A man in his 30s approached the two from behind the bar and inquired what they would like to drink. “I’ll have a dirty martini.” Ren replied, then looked at Chris for his choice.

Once the server left to fill their order, Talia looked around the room again. “Isn’t it wonderful? There’s so much atmosphere in here that it feels real. After two drinks, I won’t be able to tell who’s real and who’s not.” She smiled again. Maybe that was information for later, or when she used the program alone.
