Gainn made his way to the Chief of Security’s office. He was a bit nervous, to be honest. New ship, new ways for him to embarrass himself. He had a near-magical way of making a fool out of himself during first impressions. And not only that, would the new CSO see him as a threat due to the fact that Rado used to be the Memorial’s CSO?

Only one way to find out! Gainn thought to himself as he pressed the door chime.

OOC: Just a quick reminder that CSO in STF stands for Chief Science Officer. The Chief of Security is COS. I would change the title so it doesn’t confuse people. 🙂 ~Linds

Lt. Ducante got himself some coffee from the replicator and sat down, it wasn’t even five seconds when the chime alerted him to a visitor. “Come in” He stated, and the door opened to show LT. Rado Gainn standing there, after reading his file, he assumed he was here for initial check in, but he still asked anyway… “Hello Lieutenant, how can I help you? Would you like something to drink?”

OOC: Oh, sorry. I forgot to change that. My bad.

IC: Rado Gainn looked at the officer standing before him. Kinda looked like a prylar from his youth. “Greetings… sir. I’m Lieutenant Rado. From the, uh, Memorial. Here for a check-in if you have time,” He explained.

“Oh, yes, I’ve been expecting you. It’s nice to formally meet you. I was reading your record, it’s very impressive. The Memorial must have saw that too, since I saw you served as their Chief of Security. It’ll be great to have your experience on board.” Lt. Ducante stated. “Hopefully the transfer won’t be too hard on you. I know when I first started on this ship from the Chimera, I would head to one area and get confused why engineering of this ship is where the Medical bay was on the Chimera. It took a few days, but I finally got accustomed to the differences in layouts.” He continued, then took a sip of coffee, and gestured for the Lieutenant to sit at a chair in front of his desk.

Rado sat down as instructed. “You’re telling me, sir.” He said, “I’ve been on this ship for an hour and still haven’t found a bathroom yet.”

He then paused awkwardly, aware that he probably shouldn’t have brought that up. “Do…you have any questions for me, sir?”

Lt. Ducante laughed. “Yeah, that took a while to locate outside of my quarters as well. I meant to talk to the captain about labeling those doors better. It’s on my to-do list.” He stated. “Since you are joining us from the Memorial, as their past COS, we will skip the basics of this meeting, as you have most likely been through several of these meetings as COS yourself.” He continued stating his thoughts. “How was serving on the Memorial? I moved some stuff out of a supply area, and put them in a different supply area and created a makeshift office for you, for when your on duty and not on patrols, or the bridge. Would you like to see it, it’s not real fancy, but it’s a little better than being at a station in the middle of the brig… it was ok being out there, but I didn’t like it when we had prisoners and I’m trying to work, and it just feels like they are sitting there watching my every move.” He said.
