Good morning everyone!

I just wanted to post this as a bit of reaffirmation that we all understand our AWOL/LOA policy.

Our ship speed is 3/5/7. This is to count the number of days you have until you’re considered AWOL. 3 days for Command. 5 for department heads. 7 for junior officers.

I totally get that RL happens to each and every one of us. I don’t expect everyone to hard line stick to it if things come up.

That is why we have the LOA feature. You take the LOA as you see fit. But we do need to find out whether that is happening. Often times we feel like we can’t get on to a computer. I can understand to a point.

Communication is KEY to us maintaining the community we have here on Athena. We ALL need to do our part. If you find that you can’t stay within limits at times, get in touch with myself or Sam or both of us. We are hear to help! We can make sure that we are aware of your LOA if you can’t seem to post it or change your profile to reflect it.

I’m going to notify folks who are currently AWOL. I think giving till the end of this weekend to reply either on the boards or to my direct communication is fair before I remove anyone.

If you all could comment, letting me know you read this either by replying or direct messaging me here or on discord, that would be great!

To piggyback off of that, this is very important. Especially right now. The powers that be are getting axe-happy with looking at putting ships and fleets on the chopping block. A lot of folks have stuff going on, or are just distracted. So we can’t even tell who’s genuinely interested or active right now without cooperation and participation.

I have read this. And apologize for my absence. I’m still recovering from the stroke I had back in August. The last two weeks have been extremely busy with dr. appointments. Neurologist, optometrist, neuro-ophthamologist, endocrinologist (for diabetes), occupational therapist, labs, etc. . . .it seems like every time I have an appointment, they want a follow-up within a day or two. It wouldn’t be bad except most of these appt. are about an hour away. One of the disadvantages of living in a small rural town of about 800 people. . . . Hopefully, things will slow down soon.
