“Symbiotic with a vessel, an interesting thought Captain. So how long until…” Ben was cut of by the bridge.

=^= Bridge to the Captain. Captain a … ah… a ship that looks like a small moon just appeared off our starboard bow and is sending a standard welcome. =^=

Captain Ghubari Koraia. Thank you for calling me came the gentle thought at the same time to Ghubari.

  • Laraan, CNS

Ghubari smiled slightly at the greeting. I’m glad you could come so quickly.

Ben looked in the air, a response to the Bridge com signal “You can’t be serious?” He said incredulously with wide eyes. After a moment, he just sighed in sad acceptance and slumped in his chair “You know when they ask me about the strangest things that happened to me in Starfleet twenty years from now I am only going to talk about this day. This day tops everything I’ve ever read. Magic spaceship mothers, timeline splitting and huge tentacle monsters” He reached for a drawer but stopped himself when he realised the Captain was in the room “Do you need to go to the Bridge to Greet that ship, Sir?”

Dr. Grey - CMO

“Not sure just yet, actually,” Koraia said. She tapped her commbadge. =/\=Acknowledged Bridge. They are here at my request. Request instructions from them. They will know what I mean.=/\=

“And…” She pointed towards the drawer. “Not today, since we all need rest, but maybe tomorrow, we can share some. How does that sound?” she said with a knowing glance.

Ben felt his face warm up as he smiled awkwardly. He hadn’t meant to be so very obvious, espially about the fact that he kept alchohol in his desk.

You are important to me. I cannot read my daughter. I am worried. May I invite you and Stark to me and transport you over together with the biosign of my daugher to find out how I can help? Shall I include somebody else? her emotions were clearly worried now with a hint of curiosity and irritation.

Yes, we will come to you. Laraan has suffered ill effects of something I can’t explain right here and now. Others of the crew are fine, including myself, but it’s clearly more complicated with her Heleen DNA. I want to bring our doctor with us as well. It’s important he understand her biology and what that truly encompasses.

Yes of course. Please transport over as soon as you can. Captain Ghubari Koaraia, please allow me to read the mind of one of your crew to see the event that led to Laraan’s state so I can understand and prepare the thought was tentative. Shaleah was aware that reading others minds was a breach of trust.

=^= Captain, they … or their Captain simply sent an acknowledgement of their position in relation to ours and that they would remain there for the time being, no instructions or other requests. =^= the voice of the comms Ensign sounded quite puzzled.

  • Kantaar Shaleah, Laraan’s mother and only live ship of Heel

=/\=Understood. Drop shields. Myself and a few others are going to be beaming over. Commander R’han has the bridge while I’m away.=/\=

Ghubari looked Ben in the eyes and smiled slightly. “The drink will definitely have to wait a bit. We’re going to the live ship and you can meet Larran’s mom. We’re bringing Stark and of course Laraan. Shaleah is who she needs right now. She will help her,” Koraia said with certainty and almost a soft reverence.

Ben raised an eyebrow and stood up “Well lead the way, it’s not every day I get to meet my fellow officer’s mother. Who is also a spaceship. That is probably magic.” He looked down at his civilian clothing and then at the folded uniform “Just uh, give me two minutes to change into something more, proper.” His awkward smile returned.

Dr. Grey - CSO

Ghubari gave him a small smile and nodded, moving to the door. It slipped open and she paused, gazing at him thoughtfully. “I know the last twenty-four hours, in their various forms, have been well, hell. But you did good down there, you all did. But I know it was particularly hard on you and your staff. I just want you to know that I know that.”

She gave one more reassuring smile and then slipped back into the main treatment area.

Moving to Laraan’s bedside, she reached over and rested her hand on Stark’s shoulder, exuded a familiar comforting sensation that would tell him it was her. “Come on Ndugu, Shaleah is here. Let’s go get Laraan the help she needs,” she whispered.

A gentle thought touched Stark. Hello son. You are hurt as well. I will help you, please come
