“It was five months ago, back on the Challenger. James Black, a fellow cadet, was helping me unpack what I had yet to still do so when I first got on board. Before that? I don’t remember. We did have a meal together and worked quite nicely however.” He said, sincerity in his voice. He really did just do what was required in the social space.

OOC: I probably made a few parts of that up, as he and I didn’t 100% complete the side sim. However we also hadn’t had any interaction in it in about a month when it came time for my graduation so I felt it was best to just pretend that chapter saw a conslusion.

OOC: I think it works just fine. So says me, since I was the GM, lol.

Janna smiled. “So you have the basis to replicate something similar here and you know it has the possibility of working out well.” She might not have needed to spell it out for him, but it seemed important that Haroon was reminded of these details.

“In the next week, you are going to be settling in more, getting to know the others in your department and meeting others of the crew. Name one thing you can do to help yourself settle in as a member of the crew.”

He thought for a moment. “Maybe I could try to not just go to my quarters and sleep every time I get off duty. Instead maybe go do something recreational.” He said, not 100% sure what he would do but he basically told himself ‘Eh, I’ll give it a shot.’

Janna smiled. “I think that sounds like an excellent idea. Why don’t you give that a try and then next week we can meet again informally to discuss it? It doesn’t have to be here. Anywhere you feel comfortable.”
