He settled for looking his old acquaintance in the eye and giving a slight nod to show that he understood the ramifications of being allowed to witness this. : : : : : Orvos grinned at their responses. “Not all grass here is like that. Most is actually quite ok. But this particular kind can be rather…annoying. The properties in each staff is actually a repellant to this form of grass, thus you see it move out of your way.” he said as he placed his staff on the ground as an example.

: : : : The question surprised her slightly, but Ghubari easily recovered. “Kaylee came to me fairly early on after I took over the Athena as our Counsellor. A pretty good one as well. We developed a good rapport.” Which was either notable or expected, depending on how one viewed Ghubari. “She left for awhile and came back when we got our new ship, but this time as a Diplomatic Officer. Her mother is an Ambassador, so that didn’t surprise me, though she managed to when she came aboard,” Koraia said with a smile.

: : : Orvos stifled a laugh. “The ambassador surprised you?” he inquired, just to be certain. The terrain ahead would be familiar as they came nearer the village.

: : Stark well remembered Kaylee’s mother, the ambassador. He was really interested in what Ghubari was going to to say next about Kaylee and her irrepressible mother.

: “No, Kaylee surprised me when she boarded the ship. We had just lost the Athena and were working through our grief over that mission. And As I was boarding the ship, there was Kaylee behind me. It was a genuine surprise to see an old face, and a welcome one after losing a quarter of my crew. Somehow it just felt…” Ghubari shook her head, not sure there was even a right word for that moment.
