Lt.Isaac entered the room reading a padd grabbed a mug of coffee for himself he added some cinnamon to his coffee and took a seat.

Lt. Isaac Black (AC)

“Welcome....” He looked down at his PaDD with the names and pictures of the DH’s.......Lt. Black. That is a very interesting thing that you just did. You put cinnamon in your coffee.”

Black looked up “it gives the coffee a nice flavor you can try it” he said sipping his coffee ☕️

Alison looked up from her datapad. “That is definitely an interesting idea. Where did you learn that trick?”

Black smiled “camping with my dad he was in the army many years ago” he said as he pulled a small thing of cinnamon out of his pocket.

Alison set the datapad down on the table and looked at what Black had pulled out of his pocket. “I’ve always enjoyed camping. It’s amazing the stars you can see when you get out away from civilization. Did you get to go camping with your dad alot?”

“I was sheltered growing up. My family was and still is very wealthy. The closest I ever got to camping was my dad’s personal butler sitting up a tent on the property of my family’s chateau. The moved a bed, chair and couch in there and brought me meals and drinks. I despised that but was thankful for not being in the house. ” He had a look of both fondness and distaste in his look.

Melissa chuckled “Commander, you’ll have to come spend a week on the ranch with me. We’ll do a real camping trip, tent, sleeping bags, camp food cooked on an open fire.” She said leaning against the back wall of the conference room. She was not one to usually sit at meetings, old habit of being always ready to move at a moments notice.

“Well I am proud to say that I’m not that weak little boy anymore. I’m a man now. But I still haven’t been camping. Gosh, I would love to live like an American cowboy for a week. That would be exciting! I accept your offer madam! That would be an adventure.”

“Now to business. I’m new as you all know, so I would like to know what you all need to do your jobs and run your departments properly.”

Melissa smiled slightly “The MACO needs have been taken care of by our supply officer. We’re set for the next mission and possibly beyond.” She said.

MACO

Alison shrugged. “Well Commander, without knowing what our next mission is, it’s hard to say what we would need. For the most part we’ve got everything we need right now, we just got a resupply of most of the basics. And we are still going over the sensor logs from the last mission.”

“Oui. Let me say it another way. “What do you need and or want equipment and supply wise? You mentioned you got the basics. What about more modern phasers, electronics, tricorders, the newest biobed, etc…? So I’m asking you what the f**k do you want! Is it that hard?”

Rachel raised her hand “Wassa Biobed?” She asked “I know they’re making some advancements back home but I cannae remember any new developments prepared for rollout in terms of scanning beds. Also have we always been allowed tah swear?” She asked quite genuinely.

Dr. Grey - CMO

“Good. Then we will try to get some Wassa Biobeds. I will put in the order right after this. And to answer your second question. Yes. You are allowed to swear but be aware of the consequences. I should not have said what I said but it seemed like the right word to get all of your attention. So anyone else want or need or something since the ball is rolling?”
