Baumann looked back at where Naomi had left and said “She needs to speak to someone. A professional. Issues such as whatmay be troubling her are not safe to hold onto in this environment. For her… or anyone around her.” Looking back at Tay, he said “If I made such arrangements, confidentially of course, would she take the opportunity, Ensign?”Baumann, XO
“My honest opinion? I’m not sure. I want to give Noami the benefit of the doubt, but I can’t. I worry she might play it off as nothing or ignore it like now. She might be afraid she won’t be fit for duty and will be removed. So… I’m not sure how she will handle this.” Tay admitted as she adjusted her foot, the tingling indicting it was falling asleep.
“The main issue is getting her to open up. I don’t know how to help her and a complete stranger might not help with that factor.”
A thought crossed her mind. She added with a worried look, “Is Naomi still going to be on the ship or will she be reassigned to Earth?”

OOC: Splitting this thread so I can write Naomi in sickbay. It’s still attached to the original, but events are isolated from each other.
Naomi fought not to fly down the corridor to the sickbay. Her heart pounded hard and thumped the blood into her head, clouding her thoughts. She darted looks from one direction to another. No one seemed to notice her adrenaline spike while she fled the scene. Just outside the sickbay, she began to slow her pace. Despite the XO’s orders and concerns, no one would find anything physically wrong with her. It all led to mental stress from past trauma. Still, orders were orders.
She inhaled a deep breath then exhaled, determination fired up in her eyes. She forced herself into the quiet sickbay. A few nurses moved about and looked at her directly. They noted her presence but they appeared too busy to deal with her right now. Having come here a few times other than the scheduled appointments, she didn’t blame them. Casually Naomi sat down where she waited for someone to address her.

“You alright, love?” A soft scottish voice came from behind Naomi. The tall Chief Medical Officer stood behind the woman smiling her crooked smile.
Dr. Grey - CMO
Naomi looked up and into the CMO’s direction. Her expression faded from her indifferent one as she shrugged a bit.
“Personally, yeah. I acted a bit strange which caused the XO concern and he told me to come to be checked out. I don’t think it’s needed, but here I am.”
She didn’t mention the main reason she took the office visit was to avoid a sparring succession. Deep down, Noami knew it wasn’t anything wrong with her.

OOC: sorry it took so long. >,<
-Janice B.Rachel cocked her head in an almost dog-like fashion “OH indeed, well have a seat then, let’s find out which one of youse is correct” The tall woman offered the Scientist a seat “The Commander or the Scientist” She put her hand into one of her lab coats deep pockets and grabbed a small handscanner and casually waved it around “So what does our generous German constitute as odd?” she asked.
Dr. Grey - CMO
Naomi debated if Dr. Grey was being sarcastic or honest. Considering her last encounter, she decided to give her the benefit of the doubt. She rose to her feet and walked to the gestured position. Hopping onto it, she eyed the hand scanner moving around her figure.
“During an activity, I just…” she paused. She pulled away from watching the device to consider how to say it.
“Spaced out? I guess would be the right word. It took a friend to snap me out of it. No big deal.” Naomi shrugged it off. She left off exactly why she had frozen feeling it was too much information.
OOC: Vital signs are in the normal range.

“Indeed” Rachel said with her characteristic smile. She closed her scanner and casually tossed it behind her, it landed on a metal platform with a loud clanging sound “We’ll over all you seem to be fit as the proverbial fiddle” SHe pointed at the womans hands “I’m assuming the activity in question was sparring?” She indicated the recent bruising “Well either that or Chef’s making his punch extra feisty”
Dr. Grey - CMO
Naomi flinched when she heard the device hit the metal tray. At the CMO’s words, she perked up and her head tilted in a bird-like manner. She narrowed her eyes then widened them at realizing the evidence was on her face. She gingerly touched her face then hissed in pain. Still tender from the session. The contact had started to slip from her eye now causing her to lean over. Her finger pulled her lids apart and slipped it out onto her finger. She gestured for something to put it in.
She rubbed the water from it, but everything was blurry in that eye now.
“I hate these things some times. I wish Tay had told me we were sparring and I might’ve avoided the whole bloody session. Also, if you can’t find anything wrong then I’m good to go, right?” Her voice was hopeful.

Rachel chuckled rather manically as she moved to a cabinet and grabbed a few things from nearby shelves “Not Quite dearie” She put the assortment of items down, first grabbing the contact lens and placing it in a small receptacle and pouring a clear liquid into it, cleaning it thoroughly before placing it on a tray in reach of the Scientist “Whilst these scanners are good we haven’t quite mastered the medical sciences” She took a small tube and poured a blue gel onto her fingertips “A little Cooling blues, unless you want to hold a cold steak to that bruise all night” She raised her hand offering “Also out of curiosity, have ye never considered a more permanent fix for those big brown peepers?”
Dr. Grey - CMO
Naomi gave the CMO a look. It mixed confusion and worry into one expression as she held out her contact lens. The eye that still held tone followed the woman through the small space. She gave a sigh when she heard an unwanted answer that resulted in no. She felt the contact pulled from her finger and slipped into a receptacle with a cleaning fluid.
She gave a long sigh at the mention of the scanners, then she nodded. Her finger smeared the blue gel onto her fingers and applied it to her eye. Moment the cold sensation hit, she hissed as she rubbed it in lightly. Her eyes looked to Dr. Grey then spoke bluntly.
“Yes, I have, but between paying for school loans and other issues… it is really slow in the savings department.” Naomi couldn’t look Dr. Grey in the face when she spoke of other issues. In truth, a good chunk of her earning still went to her mum. She had hoped one day, the woman would open her eyes and leave her father. A pointless hope, but it was something she couldn’t let go of.
