Isaac walked into sickbay he still had his bag and a rifle case with him. He looked around didn’t find anyone there “Hello” he called out he took a set. His prosthetic was killing him maybe one of the engineers could recalibrate it for him. He was looking forward to work on an NX class starship he had a few ideas to improve the weapon systems.

Lt.Isaac black (CAO)

Standing in the middle of the room was a tall woman in a white coat rearranging some objects in a cabinet. When the door opened she turned around and smiled a crooked smile “Afternoon” Her Scottish brogue apparent “Ye need something?” She asked.

Dr. Grey - CMO

Isaac smiled at the women “ hello I am Isaac Black the new CAO I am here for my Boarding physical” he said as he hoped onto a bio bed.

Rachel invited Isaac to sit on one of the three examination beds as she took her medical scanner and pointed it at him and frowned “Blasted” She hit the device on it’s side a few times until it chirped quietly. Her smile returned and she started the scan cycle “Indeed you are. This yer first tour?” She asked.

Dr. Grey - CMO

Isaac smiled at her “yes on a Star fleet vessel that is I worked small cargo vessels before” he reached down and remove his prosthetic “good lord that feels better. Do you think one of the engineering boys can re-calibrate this” he asked.

Rachel quickly bent over and examined the stump with great interest, mumbling something to herself as she turned then to the prosthetic “Oh probably, try checking with the Chief if he can’t spare some time or people” She raised herself up again and returned to her scan cycle “The Bonnie’s a fine ship, I know a lot of newcomers want to get assigned to one of those fancy NX Class ships but I’ve grown quite fond of this one”

Isaac smiled “ I brought a few things they could improve the ships weapons Alot” he said with a wink to the CMO

“Oh Indeed” Rachel said as she tried to read the results of her hand scanner then pocketing the device “And what, pray tell, have you brought onboard?” She asked with a calm tone “I hope it’s nothing that’ll bother the brass much”

Dr. Grey - CMO

“Just a few more advanced focusing lens for the phase cannons and a new way to increase the yield on the torpedoes and of course a whole lot of targeting upgrades and system upgrades” as he put his leg back on “ when we are done here can you show me to my quarters and I’ll like to meet the captain when I’m done getting my stuff secured”

Isaac closed his eyes he didn’t realize how tired he was until he did it. Hopefully he can start the next day and get some rest.

Rachel half nodded at the scanner then petted it slightly as one would a small kitten “Well ye look like yer alright, Don’t go working too hard now and rest up. I also recommend imbibing some fluids and having a light dinner” Rachel said with her crooked smile “Yer fit fer duty as they say.”

Isaac looked at her and winked “I look forward for you to keep me in good Health.... and speaking of a late dinner will you be free after my meeting with Captain” he said.

Rachel looked up for a moment and considered “I suppose, Chef is making A green bean Casserole tonight on the Veggie side” She stated absentmindedly “I will be dining in the mess tongiht but if you’d like company I can wait”

Isaac was happy to make a new friend so fast. His time at the Academy was long he spent most of his free time tutoring the lower class in tactical drills like small arm tactics and Basic ship to ship combat. “So what do you like to eat onboard” he asked enjoying getting to know someone.

“Anything really, although I’ve been a functioning vegetarian since medical school but that’s not much of a problem on a Starship, not a lot of meat to be found ‘ere” Rachel answered “How ‘bout you?” SHe asked.

Dr. Grey - CMO

He smiled “well believe it or not i’m from district military family so I do like the MRE” he said some what embarrassed. “My parents weren’t really home so that was my meals” he continued.

Rachel nodded “Well we can’t all have good taste” She said with the same crooked smile “In any case you don’t want to keep the Captain waiting, I’ll be in the mess come dinnertime, I’ll save you a seat.”

“Thanks” he smiled got up and started to walk out looking for the captain. He went to a wall com =^= Lt. Black to the Bridge =^=
