Barring a sitting Chief Engineer, Lt jg Green had been detailed by Fleet and Sojourner command to assess the engineers based on the previous couple of missions, at least to those who stood out. While this was a tedious affair, Reginald was well prepared to comment on those he had worked with for some time now. He began at the lower ranks.

Re: Engineering promotion Recommendations

In the past two years since the Sojourner has sailed, there have been no promotion opportunities. I submit my recommendations based on tenure and service during this time.

Sailors Rosa-Marie Morales and Darlene Kohl, base class seamen, by their growth as engineers, marked interest in taking on extra duties and shifts during the difficult recent periods. Recommend they be promoted to Seaman B class.

Sailors Dorian Grigio and Galen Sideris, both B class seamen, displayed ingenuity in repairs and courage under difficult situations during the explosion and resultant repairs and EVA. Recommend they be promoted to Seaman A class.

Petty Officer 2nd Class Rick Walters has had considerable tests in his time aboard. He has grown, while untrained, in skills and has overcome difficult tests of courage that has stretch him in a positive way. Recommend he be promoted to Petty Officer 3rd Class.

Chief Petty Officer 2nd Class Fiona Cleare has shown herself to be a good leader, one holding to the regulations and procedures that fleet engineers hold dear. Her work in stabilizing a bad situation in the recent mission stands her out and she has undertaken all exams and requirements to be eligible for promotion. Recommend she be promoted to Chief Petty Officer 1st Class.

Warrant Officer Tyler Jackson has been exemplary in his skill and tutelage of those under him in the non commissioned ranks. Recommend he be promoted to Chief Warrant Officer.

Others were exemplary, such as SCPO Bekele Seifu, Emerson Fawkes (who undertook the most recent emergency and serving while injured), are, in my opinion deserving of a citation rather than a promotion for their files.

For Officer advancement, Captain, I have only this.

Ensign Elemirre Serinde did not gain approval from Fleet Command for promotion, and, irregularly, with no explanation. I believe she is very capable as an officer but leaving much to learn yet. Perhaps next time she will be more eligible. As an addendum, she has taken and passed all required exams.

Ensign Sasha Gagarin has grown and has shown initiative and eagerness in adopting all necessary and additional duties and to learn all he can. I find him to be green in personal life experience, though he has proven himself a solid engineer and budding officer. Recommend he be promoted to Lieutenant junior grade. This has been approved by Fleet Command when polled for his eligibility.

Ensign Odina Marshell. I do not know what prompted her demotion from chief engineer to ensign, and Command did not say, though from her prior experience, previous command rank aboard, and with no objections from Command, I feel she should be restored to her earlier rank of Lt Jg, preserving her seniority in that rank.

OOC: If Odina has a copy of this she would suggest that Reginald be listed as the Assistant Chief Engineer with his years aboard and knowledge of those working in engineering. As well as his honesty and clear dedication to making sure the ship has the best for the situation in the right place. Along with thanks for his support. As it is though as a player I think you always have wonderful posts and epic characters that I enjoy reading and learning about. :)
